Thank you for the video! Molinism is something I've come into in recent months and this video explained the major premises of it really well. I also liked your delivery style. Your voice is clear and easy to understand. I've been considering making videos about theology as well. If I ever make any videos about molinism and cite from you, I'll be happy to drop your name and add a link to your channel!

But I feel that Molinism betrays Gods sovereignty, because most people are afraid “God chose me and not you and thats no fair.” So Molinism tries to reconcile that. But i feel that in doing so, it places God having to look at all of his “options” which is his anyways, and having to pick from which one works out according to what he wants. Therefore instead of choosing at his own will, he bases his choice off of his limitless options.

I know there is a very fine line on this, but wouldn’t God “looking at all possibly worlds and choosing the one he wants” not be the same as the Calvinistic view on that God does not look down into history to decide who he will save off of their good works?

I just feel like this takes away from Gods sovereignty because there is an extra step that he must do rather than just it being his will the first go.

Let me put it this way. I feel that Molinism just creates an extra step (if you will) It still doesn’t remove the fact that God is sovereign in the sense that everything he has created is totally what he wanted and desired. Therefore those who never come to him were based from what he initially desired.

I may just not be understand it correctly. It seems as if the issue lies within “Gods knowledge of all possible worlds and yet all possible worlds and actions within them are based from Gods would be desire? Is that right? If not, then it would consist of God relying on something else. Because why would all possible worlds exist or be “possible” if Gods not desiring them individually?
