You’re amazing! Each year our institution since I don’t even know how long when I was a trainee still, we had those annual burnout modules to complete. But never have I had learned about burn out and the stages you mentioned and the characteristics of each stage and I was blown away! This answered so many of the things that I’ve noticed over time and I don’t understand it, but now I do thanks to you! Literally shortly before I played your video I was reflecting, and that recurrent thought of, “ I don’t know what’s wrong with me? how did I get to this place? For over a decade I never watch TV, and now I do it religiously, The withdrawing from my friends and my family, also another thing that has confused me so much, but I just chalked it up to that I’m so mentally exhausted by the time I get home which is usually around eight or 9 PM, but I just don’t have the capacity to engage in a meaningful level with anybody and voila the tv. Thank you so much, I really appreciate all your hard work and your neck for teaching via real life examples of whatever concept. On paper those things are so two dimensional, but hearing such examples are way more effective at connecting the dots. Thx!!

How would you explain when burnout has continued for decades and has continued when your not working? How do you break the cycle and help yourself to overcome side affects like insomnia. Thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for explaining, I managed to find an exit strategy instinctively but I didn’t fully understand what had happened. You just described it. I really hope I don’t get like that again. 🙏🏼 X

This was me both at work *and* in a relationship. I completely burnt myself out at both ends giving far too much for nothing in return. Limerence was my 'cat video' so to speak.

I really loved this informative video.

Does it means that if someone is posting all the time on social media memes (I mean every single day, more than once) it is also burnout signs? Sigh!

i hit burn out months ago. I just got to a point where I got sick of neglecting my entire life. I had to take serious measures to protect myself. Create a safe balance. If my employer would just let me WFH, that would change everything. I would definitly feel more alive, because at home i can take microbreaks to allow my life to co-exist with work. Till then, i just have to do what i can within the given hours. Beyond that my life and time actually mean something and are valuable.

My da bf works in a field where he is responsible for the safety of people - he doesn't hate his job but if your job is constantly triggering a wound isn't that a contributor?

Hi! Many thanks for the video. But I would like to suggest you to keep the camera a bit higher than its current position so that your beautiful face comes to the center. Now the eye level is your chest. I think if a bit higher, that eye level would make it easier to connect with you. Thanks again, all the best!
