What scares me about HIV is the ignorance and by ignorance, I mean the misinformation in the 21st Century is mind boggling to me;
I had a neighbor that has HIV and when the old ladies in our apt complex found out, this guy was ostracized. Dinner invitations stopped.
His brother died of AIDS yesterday. See, I educate myself and he was going in the hospital having very extensive eye surgeries with illnesses that are indicative to HIV & he was in the hospital for two months because of all these rare infections & when I last saw him, my Lord, he looked like a concentration camp survivor...but because of the stigma, he was telling everyone he "just had cataracts" and felt he had to keep his diagnosis a secret & it wasn't any of my business to blab it all over.
But I am astounded at how dumb people still are about how ya get it.
And I've heard people say ya can't get it through unsafe sex but ONLY THROUGH ANAL SEX. 🙄
People really need to educate themselves
