Seen one go head up into a grizzly in a den. The dog literally jumped his face almost like a bulldog. The grizzly was shook and took off after a while of fighting. The dog took a lot of bites and literally just walked it off. Great dogs.

They are awesome. I know several farmers who have them guarding livestock. They do bark a lot. Which makes them less than perfect for a suburban home.

Clarify the weight of the dogs. Yes, females rang between 80 -100 lbs. The males should range from 100 to 120 lbs. A male Great Pyrenees being over 120 is not uncommon.

I've lived down the street from a bad example of an owner not realizing what this dog is capable of. Unsocialized, this dog can be frightening. This breed needs a job and isn't for novice.

Overated, now some of the other white lgd breeds like white caucasian shepherds of the aboriginal type, and the Turkish Akbash are some ferocious attack first guard second kind of dogs.
