Growing up I had a Caucasian Shepherd named Pal.
He was a family member. We all loved Pal
and Pal loved us.
He was a excellent guard guard dog. He protected the whole family. Caucasian shepherds are good with children and very loyal to family.
We had 15 years with him.
We will always remember Pal

Tibetan Mastiff all day long. They work together with Lhasa Apso's and the little Lhasa's bark when they hear a noise and don't stop barking. Then the Mastiff comes down and eats whatever is there.

We have an Alabai (the lion colored one) in our Georgian village. They are magnificent dogs, and wonderful guardians.

We have two Kangals to guard our homestead from coyotes and wolves. They have not lost a charge in two years. They are not for inexperienced handlers though. They require a lot of specialized care and handling to recognize their full potential and maintain safety for them and the people and livestock they interact with. Once bonded, they will defend with their lives. They are imensely loyal and obiedient to their owners and are fearless. Ours have killed wolves and coyotes with ease and driven off grizzlies.

I love Kangals. They are so sweet towards family and livestock and have been known to deal with packs of threats alone, especially when protecting livestock. Very powerful bite force, they will keep your family safe on a homestead provided they’ve been trained properly.

I had a Saint Bernard when I was a child about 11yo till I was 17. She was huge. Very obedient, and loyal. No one messed with me when I was out walking her. My uncle was a chef and he lived up the street from us. He brought scraps from his job and he would share it with his brother ( our dad) and this is how we fed her. We would mix her dog food with these meats. She ate like royalty twice a day. 7:00 am and again at 6:30 pm.
