Queen - Radio Ga Ga (Live Aid 1985)

Queen performing at Live Aid in front of 72,000 people in Wembley Stadium, London on the 13th July, 1985. The event was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. Broadcast across the world via one of the largest satellite link-ups of all time, the concerts were seen by around 40% of the global population.

My dad is the cameraman following Freddie around. He was a big Queen fan anf still has the set list signed by the band. Great memories.

Before their performance most of this crowd were not even queen fans, and when Freddie just walks on stage, the entire crowd has become a Queen fan down to every single person in the audience.

Mum passed away 2 weeks ago. God, how she loved Queen. Every time a Queen song came on, or someone mentioned them, mum would start telling everyone how perfect Freddie was. I caught the Queen fever from her. Mum didn't have a favourite song... they all were. But this is mine and I played it for you mum. ❤
