Her gift was the miracle itself that helped her family flourished. She had a gift all along but that kind of gift wasn’t shown because it wasn’t a tangible gift like the others. Her power is literally the love for her family and her being able to unite everyone as a family to help them grow.

Just noticed something: The town came and helped them rebuild their house basically returning the favor for the Madrigals helping them for so many years despite them not having powers which is so wholesome.

I love that while the family looks on entirely surprised, Antonio just smiles as though he never doubted that Mirabel’s gift would eventually be revealed. ❤️

I really love how the ending shot of the film was an imperfect, slightly blurred photo of the madrigal family! A perfect symbolism of how alma has finally given the family members their own voices and choices, abandoning her goal of everything being picture perfect.

Anyone notice that when Casita brought the Madrigals in, everyone was smiling except Bruno, who looked confused and slightly worried? Cause casita doesn't work in his room or the walls, so he's not used to interacting with her.

Mirabela is the succesor of abuela. Thats why she didnt get a gift in the first place. When the house got magical again the window greeted Maribela en she waved back. Just like how it went when abuela was young and the windows waved at her. Indicating she will be the new "abuela" . Also Bruno saw his vision on the same night mirabela didnt get a gift: Mirabela destroying their home but also fixing it. Meaning Mirabela not getting a gift would concern abuela so much fearing to lose the miracle she would try to make everything perfect forgetting the real purpose of the miracle and destroying her home herself without knowing. She needed Mirabela to remind her of the purpose so the miracle could restore.

See? The doors picture... Mirabel is now in all front of them and holds the candle.... she became the very gift they all needed to keep their gifts flowing!!!! Amazing!

I like to think the madrigal weren't expecting Casita with magic again if mirabel put the doorknob in, they were just expecting a nice peaceful life with no gifts, just love! That's just what I think-

i love how in the end Pepa learns that she doesn't need to hide her emotions and instead of trying to do something with the cloud, she's dancing in the rain. definitely one of my favourite characters.

edit: guys, please. before you correct me for the nth time read the other responses, someone already told me that this is hail and not rain and i am aware of that. i keep getting the same responses from this comment section for over a week right now and it's getting annoying.

I kinda hope there will be an Encanto 2 that explores Bruno’s emotional state and how the village interacts with him now that his gift has returned, because I feel like during the time he didn’t have his gift, he was genuinely happy to be considered normal. Now that his gift has returned, I’m worried he might slowly start to distance himself again since they’ll still be somewhat weary of his gift.

This is one of my favorite animated movies of all time, I swear. No villain, no agenda, just a family working through trauma to come together and love each other, and even beyond that, the community they served coming together to help them back in the end. So much love in this movie 💕
