In this video, I will show you how to install and run Apps from an External Drive on your M1/M2 Mac. I will be doing this on my new Mac Mini M1/M2 with a Samsung 870 QVO 1TB external SSD drive. If you want to expand the storage of your M1/M2 Mac or M1/M2 Mac Mini, this is a great option. Also, this works for Apps downloaded from the Web and the Mac App Store. Apps are mostly self contained (when you right click on an app you can see it's actually a folder with a bunch of files inside) however what you didn't touch on is the folder application support in Library a lot of applications keep part of their code in there this is not getting moved when you move an app.

Just setting up my new Mac Mini M1 and found out that the 1Tb SSD I ordered wouldn't play nice with my internal Mini memory. I was worried about not having enough memory space but now I know I can move many of my applications over to my external SSD easily. This guy is "The Man" when it comes to explaining things that a medium level or lower operator can understand. Please keep up the good work.
