OMG VEEEGANNN, and I truly trust you on the “VEGANONSITY” 😂😂🤣 if that’s a word lolol. I stopped eating eggs a hundred years ago then and I haven’t drank milk in years. I’ve unofficially been vegetarian for at least 2 years and recently trying to make a transgression to total vegan, thank You. 👏🏽💪🏽🙏🏾✝️💜✝️🗽🇺🇸😇.

As a vegan of only four years, who used to really miss the flavor of real cheese when first going vegan and also tried out many different plant based cheeses, I can sympathize with your tastebuds throughout your journey of trying to find one that would even pass with a D- for the real thing.

Your selections of vegan substitutes sound yummy! I’m going to have to give your recipe a go. I’ve never tried Just Egg, but I’ve heard good things about it.

If your willing to try just a few more, MIYOKO’S Cheers to Cheddah ‘cheese’ spread, FOLLOW YOUR HEART Feta Crumbles, Mozzarella Shreds and Smoked Gouda Slices, some nutritional yeast, vegan butter and a smidge of vinegar or mustard (for that real cheese ‘bite’) is what I’ve been using. I sprinkle some mozzarella shreds and a mixture of melted vegan butter and Panko Bread Crumbs over the top of it and bake it until the toppings are brown and toasty.

Amazing! Haven't made great Mac and Cheese since going vegan. Vegan diet tip here: Add nutritional yeast to any meal that you want a cheesy, nutty, savory flavor. Each tablespoon have 2 grams of high quality, full spectrum protein, B vitamins, minerals, and is totally vegan. I will play around with just how much of this I can add to the recipe without changing the flavor profile. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you for sharing this. I tried it this morning and it came out fantastic! The taste is good. My bf couldn’t tell that it was vegan. I will be taking a pan of this mac to Easter dinner so that the few vegans in the family can indulge in a delicious mac as well. Thanks again! :)

Yess Miyokos is seriously the best for making vegan alternatives. Ingredient and taste wise! They’re a little pricier but SO worth it!! We are not vegans but we do enjoy vegan food every now and then. I’m gonna have to try this!

That M&C looks yummy!! The Miyokos Pepper Jack is good too. I put it in my Just Egg scrambles, frittatas and pasta dishes. Try silken tofu to make cheese sauce. Tasty! Well done Lady Diva!!

Miyoko & Violife are very good cheeses. They mimic real cheese by the taste and creaminess. I've been a vegetarian for years but wanted to convert to vegan but couldn't find a cheese that I like. Now that I have... It's on!!! And you're right, the vegan cream cheese is really good. Miyoko and Violife have cream cheese as well.

I love the Miyokos brand cultured butter, I picked up a pack the other day at the supermarket, haven’t used it yet. I tried Daiya and it didn’t melt, I want impressed. Jus egg is a really good egg substitute, it scrambled like eggs too. I like adding coconut cream to my Mac n cheese and also my mashed potatoes....my boyfriend is vegetarian, trying to go vegan, so I try to make dishes we can both eat.
