Great Info. Received my 3060 TI yesterday from SCAN and it just has GDDR6, so if they've changed it I wasn't very lucky.

I appreciate you covering the Linux side of things as well. Kudos.

It's not surprising the 40 series gains only a few % performance on the AIB OC models. As pointed out before (and as we've seen countless times in previous gen GPUs), compute architectures don't scale well in games when overclocked. The "overclockability" of Ada has been VASTLY overblown by nvidia (of course), in reality going from the stock 2.85 ghz in-game boost to 3ghz or even 3.1 ghz (for high end of the silicon lottery) @600W+ will get you at most 5% in performance, probably less.

8:01 as soon as he starts talking about the watts his pc had a heart attack and ramped up the fans 😂

man 4070 should be coming with atleast 12GB vram but we know nvidia gonna keep it at 10 or something less.

I have a 3080 12 GB I think I’ll ride that out until the next cards come out not enough of a performance increase to pay $1200 for 4080

Enermax is listing some place holders power consumption, same as the 30 serie

Do you guys think the 3070 will get a VRAM update? I'm into ray tracing a lot, but that 8GB VRAM doesn't really sound well.

Wondering what I missed here. My 3090 Ti gets 21k on time spy.

Still highly disturbed by this new power connector. They are insisting that their 12-pin ATX3.0 connector with size of 1 normal 8-pin are better and able to hold more power than 3 8-pin with 24 bigger contacts. Sounds like some BS.

Please tell me my 3080 12gb will handle 1440p unreal engine 5 for quite awhile @ 60fps

I will be buying a 3rd party 4090 or 4090 ti prebuilt desktop.

I bought a 3060ti about 2 weeks ago, will go for 40xx series in a year or so, trying to upgrade to gddr6x in 30xx series feels like a waste unless you don't own a 30 series

GDDR6X massively increases power consumption and cooling requirements, it's not necessarily an upgrade. I chose 3060Ti (and considered 3070) specifically because of it's reasonable power consumption. 3070 is 220w, 3070ti is 290w, a 32% increase of power consumption for less performance uplift. Also, what the hell is wrong with Nvidia launching different products with the same names? At least add a letter if you are changing the product.

I thought Intel said they had to scrap battlemage because of a hardware design defect or something.. Since when is raja hyping it up again?

No matter the hate, the 4090 looks impressive. 2x the perf of last gen 3090 is really really good, and DLSS 3 on top of that is definetely a nice plus. And even if games perf is not strictly 2x, dont forget we are talking brand new drivers vs mature drivers. Hyped
