Top tip - don't blindly follow the settings some guy says to use without any explanation of what they do, when they're helpful, and when not to enable them.

If u set those to global like prefer maximum performance yur gpu will always run at max clocks even if yur browsing the web, this isnt good for ppl with laptops or lower end gpus, u should do it thru the program tab an individually select yur games settings so it only runs those setting when u boot the application, an tripple buffering is only useful for when using vulkan or opengl an supposedly works better with vsync enabled aswell, other than that alot of those settings only work with dx 11/12

Boosting fps / fixing stutters requires a series of tunings and it's specific to your hardware and usage patterns. One tweak that works for you may bring worse results to the other users. Stutters are caused by many factors such as disk buffering (which can be fixed using ram caching/ disk caching, hog processes and more. But....If you ask me how to get more fps I would say upgrade your hardware to a higher requirement of the game you wanna play, lock your gpu to performance mode and cpu to turbo mode. That way you max out your hardware to fight stutters to some extent, and using ssd is a must. And a bonus.. test on/off vsync. follow me if you hate my comment xD.

for ppl who dont know Triple buffer is a 3 layered based buffer so basically you should use it when you want to use Vsync unless its better to use RTSS frame limitter it has lower latency also make sure to enable prevent anti...filtering using Nvidia profile inspector, and disable Variable refresh rate as well as Ansel usage, you'll thank me Later :)

Thank you!!! Fixed my issue with static reflectings in prenuim bowling

Dont enable triple buffering, it'll increase latency.

i turn on max performance during winter to heat up my gaming room lol, with the 2070super it was on all the time, the 3080ti sucks a lot of power so i went with the program tab and i selected cod and i changed the settings there, i honestly highly suggest choosing the title you wanna play through the programs tab and do the settings you wish. keep in mind some games have these settings also.

I don't agree with low latency mode. You should turn it on or boost only in settings for specific games which contain same in game setting for reflex low latency. Othet whise you will experience stuttering. So make sure your game has reflex setting. For example don't use it for cs go or world of tanks. But use it for apex, valorant, cp77,

Power management was the option I needed, thanks!!

if you use nonstop "power management mode " on prefer maximum performance you forcing your gpu work allways on maximum hz, needed or not so its not very good and your gpu last much less than it suppost to so better change it to adaptive. "low latency mode" ultra needed for not so much ppl, for most its needed only on .

Don’t follow this guide guys. Shader cache, for example, should be disabled for maximum fps, a higher shader cache makes your game load faster but it will run worst. G-sync should be disabled, triple buffering should be disabled as it is only for vsync, and threaded optimization should be definitly enabled as it lets you use all the cores of your cpu. This guy has no idea at all.

omg please NEVER turn off anisotropic filtering, it won't give you any performance but will make textures awful af.

Thanks my game looks like potato but its smooth.

The power management mode is not really important. The GPU will always use the maximum when you play a game. The maximum Performance just also increase the performance when u on desktop and its just consumed more power.
