DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Official Preview: DJI's Newest Drone 2017!

DJI low key announced their new DJI Phantom 4 Advanced April 13th 2017. This isnt replacing the Phantom 4 Pro but is a different option all together. It seems the main difference is build quality, improved camera lens/sensor, vision system and sports mode. The Phantom 4 Advanced offers D-log 4K 60fps video, which looks amazing in test footage. The other interesting part is the price, this 4 Advanced comes in at around $1350 without the controller/screen combo and with $1650. The Phantom 4 Pro is about $150 more for either option. This is DJI's newest drone in 2017, does this drone and the price point seem tempting? Let me know in the comments below.

i got the p4p+ and i can tell you if you dont care for the size, its an amazing drone with excellent quality on the video side.Only thing is the built in screen is a must for me at least because i find myself using it a lot in bright daylight and it makes you see your fooage without needing to step in the shade or cover your screen with your hand

Interesting offering. I am likely going to spring for it. I have the Mavic and love it for the portability but love the video quality of my Phantom 4. This might make be jump into the Phantom 4 Advanced with 4K at 60fps since I do so much automotive drone stuff with exotic cars.

I believe they took away the side collision avoidance sensor. That seems to be the main diff.

The p4pro sensor array is a little finicky leading to less stable flights. I'm wondering if they augmented the internal wiring to have a netter bridge between front and rear sensors, excluding the software bypass that the p4pro array uses (except in tripod mode).

I felt my P4 (base sku) was more stable in flight. I dunno we'll just have to see.

The phantom 3 standard started out at 1000, and then went down to 400 to 500 dollars, so is it possible that the phantom 4 will ever get down near that price?

when dji introduce their phantom 4, they said "there will be only one series of phantom 4, soo you no need to choose what series to buy." and now p4 series same like p3....
