I was already a vegetarian when my mom died of colon cancer. The last time I saw her, I decided I was never going to eat anything that didn't come from the ground or a tree. No one's perfect, but I think at 82, I can say that I can attribute some good health reports to the high fiber diet. Plant based for the win.

I'm 40 years vegan and at 60 years old, feel amazing. I moved to florida to support my mom on her journey back to health. She was dying in the hospital from 4 major cronic illnesses. Heart desease, diabetes, hign blood pressure and whole body infections, kidney failure. At 83, the doctors didn't feel she had a good chance to last another year. After 3 months plant based and nutrient dense with daily exercise, she is reversing all her major illnesses. a total 180. It takes a lot of hard work and support to change so drastically. IT REALLY WORKS. Go Plant Based with nutrient dense foods. Move your body joyfully and stay positive with love. And life will return.

A little over three years since I switched over to a whole food plant based vegan lifestyle, I lost forty five pounds, off viagra and blood pressure medications, lowered my cholesterol and triglycerides levels and cured myself of sleep apnea.

I'm only plant based about two weeks .. came from a diet of ready meals, highly processed meat, supermarket pizzas, red bull and loads of dairy. Always had brain fog. Woke up exhausted even after a good night's sleep. I was irritable and constantly tired and felt depressed . Now I literally feel like a new person. Full of stable energy, clarity of mind and just feel bloody amazing. Never going back

I suffered from metabolic syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood sugar). I went whole food plant based no sugar oil or salt and I lost 65 pounds, all my conditions greatly improved, my gums stopped bleeding, and erections and energy returned. I used to have an appetite that was never satisfied; whole foods cured it. I no longer use a sleep apnea machine. Finally, the food is cheap-Beans, lentils, rice, potatoes and seasonal apples. I am thankful to all the vegans who suffered attacks to reveal the truth to me.

I lost 15lbs in just my first month on a plant-based diet. In six months I was down a total of 40lbs; triglycerides went from 190 to 69; total cholesterol from 225 to 175 (I'm hoping that goes down some more); and no more signs of chronic inflammation. I am nearing my 41st birthday and I feel better than I did at 18!

Today is day 29 for me. 30 days ago I was on the DAD (Deadly American Diet). That's the same as the SAD (Standard American Diet) but just a more accurate acronym. 29 days ago I started eating a 100% produce-only, whole foods, plant-based diet. Fruit and greens, beans, seeds, nuts, legumes and vegetables. If it comes in a box or a bag, was manufactured or processed in any way, if there is literally more than one ingredient on the label, I have not consumed it. And I went from chicken wings, pizza, cheeseburgers, fish, pasta (almost exclusively from ordering from DoorDash and restaurant food only) to 100% prepared meals at home. By the end of week one I was sicker than I had ever been in my life. My guts were ON FIRE, but the worst symptom of all was I literally could not walk. I had to fight to get out of a chair. I had ZERO energy. I questioned what I was doing and considered perhaps I had made a mistake going "full retard" (from the film Tropic Thunder do don't get triggered). But I stuck it out. By the end of week two I was just about to cash in and call it a day and eat some "real food". I hung on just a few more days and the it happened...a 180 degree turn around in how I felt. I got up (almost 2 weeks of total insomnia by the way) and a feeling of calm and well-being came over me that I had no felt since I was a teenager 35 years ago. It is night and day. I went from no energy to having more than I had on the DAD by a factor of 10. My mind is 1000 times quicker and sharper. I am NEVER giving up this feeling. Clearly I just went though a full on detox like no other. Other than maybe a water only fast, this is the best way to detox. All the massive amount of vital energy it take to cope with a poor diet is suddenly freed up and your body goes...holly shit! Now we can use some of this vital energy to clean up some of the debris and injury and illness that has been looming but we (my body's cells) didn't have available. This is known as "the law of vital economy" and its our bodies way of triaging what is in our best interest first..."worst first" kind of thing...but go from chemicals in your diet and processed foods and oils and refined sugars to pure, low calorie, high nutrient density foods and BAMM! Tons of energy to clean house, make repairs and get back to joy. If I can do this...ANYONE can do this. I have lost 18 pounds in 28 days. I want to lose another 20 or so...but I'll let my body decide what my ideal weight is. I'll start a B12 and EPA/DHA supplement in the near future. For now: only drink is water (never a pre-made drink - which is food by the way) no fragmented foods (like making orange juice and removing the pulp which helps slow the absorb glucose metabolisn and prevent spikes) water saute only (oil-free life from now on - oil is 120 calories for table spoon regardless of what type it is and has zero nutritional value and is pro-inflammatory) lots of greens and colorful vegetables, beans, etc. And 45 min. of balls to the wall high intensity exercise (like weight/resistance/pull ups/push ups etc.) or 90 min. a day of light and easy exercise (like fast walking). I am BORN AGAIN and feel 15 years old. Hardest month of my life. But if you're going to make a change don't do it half assed...DO IT RIGHT. VINCIT QUI SE VINCIT!

I also lost 10% of my body weight after 28 days on a WFPB diet. It wasn't easy, but 11 years later and so much healthier for the change!

Look at the man. He was in Medical school in 1998, and now he is in his 40s. He looks healthier than many in their 20s. Wow

I have been plant based 33 days now, I love green beans they taste amazing. I hated green beans, and now things taste so much better. I believe changing microbes in the gut does change our taste buds.

22 years vegan this year. I also eliminated all processed food when I went vegan (the term WFPB didn’t exist back then). I am still thriving. Sailed through the menopause naturally with hardly any issues (a few, mild hot flushes) and am still very active and energetic 😀. Listen to Dr Desmond, he is an excellent doctor

It's true..in a month my blood pressure went from being 150/105 on average to 110/78 now and that's taking my blood pressure after moving around. Absolutely amazing that a plant based diet can do this and meds couldn't

When I used to animals my hair never grew, it was always above shoulder length, I was always taking care of it, but it never grew!🥺 but when I became vegan I reached knee length, I believe it's because of all the nutrients from the veggies, it's crazy! I couldn't be happier❤️🥺 (I also had severe acne, and being vegan fixed my entire face) 😭 I'm so grateful, for real! I used to cry because I went through so many acne treatments and nothing was working! Being vegan was the best thing that has ever happened to me

(Sorry if there are some misspellings, I'm still learning English) ❤️(´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)

My partner and l made the switch at the end of March 2021 still going and l have lost 8 pounds so far it’s May, 2021. We bought dropped weight. Not taking my BP medication anymore. Skin is brighter less acne and hair growth it was falling out by the handful. This is my second attempt the last time l dropped from size 22 to size 14 dress size on a plant based diet. It’s different this time eating for health not just weight loss. Everything l eat is medicinal not just food. I have Lupus, high BP, endometriosis, anaemia and fibroids. So the food l put into my system is designed to manage the affects of those illnesses. I am a Stroke survivor of 5 years. So l had to make the change. 🎓❤️🤗👏🏾👏🏾
