In todays video i'm demonstrating what i feel is the best and most efficient way to wire your base like a pro in once human. Ill be showing off a ton of tips and tricks to make your base electrical work look super clean and be efficient at the same time! enjoy!

**Update** - just a heads up i misspoke when going over the cool piping trick at the end of the video u dont need any power at all, it was just an alignment issue, i'll be showing the final organized result in my next farming/cooking video coming out tmw ;)

For beginners. You only have 4 15W solar panels. My suggestion is to daisy chain the 4 panels and from the last one go to 2 switches. Switch 1 for turrets and Switch 2 for everything else. This will allow you to turn off everything on switch 2 so you have enough power in the early game to power a good number of turrets on switch 1. From Switch 2 you can add more switched if you want to split everything into categories like Always On, Mining, Farming, Etc.

When you want to do a purification, all you have to do is turn off switch 2 and turn on switch 1 and all your turrets will operate. No mistakes.

Really helpful guide thank you, I got so lost with all the wires trying to make them look as neat as yours so for anyone that isn't tidy like me you can press L when in build mode to hide all wiring and piping. Just press L again to show them. Edit: I persevered and managed to actually get them looking nice and natural so again thanks!

I spent hours working on the wiring for my base, but had to simplify it because I kept crossing wires somewhere because I had my connectors too close and couldn't tell what was what anymore. Still, I was able to split each floor with its own switch, so good enough for my purposes. Love the base design!

I personally like to simplify my wires so later i dont have to get confused which wires is for what.... i would daisy chain similar facilities (benches, stove etc) and connect them to a single node on the ground which connects to a switch from the outside. And chain defenses (turrets, traps, etc) connect them to a node on the wall. And connect all the farming facilities to a node in the ceiling. This way when i want to move things around i can just follow a single node and to know which wires connect what and since you will put all similar structures together the wires wont show anyways if you daisy chain them next to each other

for gardening if the light is 2 floors up it will cover a 5x5 with irrigation in the middle. and irrigation covers up to 7x7

This is cool. I actually wire my production and defenses to different switches. If I don't need the defense, I leave my turrets off and same for my production. Saves on a ton of power.
