Tip #1 If you see a tips and tricks video or any other video guide advising you to stack up digby or beaver deviants, skip to the next video. They obviously have no idea how to play the game. While these might be great if you could actually start the game out with 20 of them it will take you many hours before you can find 20 and unlock the ability to build 20 deviant containers. Even longer to collect the mats to build both the containers and the additional items needed to make them work efficiently.

Then once you are all done and you have 10 beavers and 10 digby boys, you will find out that they are complete trash. If you had spend just a little of that time you spent on this setup just getting up to a steel picaxe you would be able to farm more in 10 minutes than all of these deviants can farm in an entire day. You are far better off ignoring them completely. Not stressing over expanding your deviant container limit, and using the 6 you start with for much more useful deviants. Rainman waters your crops, the mushroom farms them automatically, the bee I think improves growing speed. There is a dinosaur that improves cooking. You will want either a healer or a fighter to keep active with you at all times. You will most likely want to get 2 eels for improved power generation. That's already your 6 deviant tanks full.

Oh I tested the paper deviant too. yes they collect a LOT of parts. No they are not useful. Even in the highest tier areas of the map they still bring the lowest level most useless items.

The chainsaw is BIS for getting wood, like way out does anything the Beaver can do. I can collect 5k logs in 2 min and once you upgrade to the electric furnace you no longer need logs like that. Now I just chuck my logs into the biomass machine to power up everything for days. lol

You can get Digby Boy the first time you mine a Tin Ore you can also get it from a quest given by Lowe.

For players with umlauts (öäü): Flight mode is the ö key

Another thing I found for the mining deviation is that they not only mine the ores around the mines, they also give you ore you have unlocked. My territory was at the beginner area, which only have sulphur, copper and stone. Once I have unlocked bronze ingot and steel ingot. I found the mining deviation starts giving iron and tin ore at low rate which was not around my territory.

Very good video! one of the most important tips I’ve got is the difference between the US and the European keyboard for flight mode. I will try the @ key this evening. One question I’d love to see you cover when trying to lay foundations next to existing foundations. How can you raise one as it seems to just snap to the level of the previous one? And alt + wheel don’t lift it up @Invin

Did you have issues when putting your planter boxes on your shelves? I can get 2 of the 3 on each shelf put on but the bottom or middle will say Overlapping with existing building structures" and no matter how it's turned or adjusted, it will not sit on the shelf.

How do you rebuild? Scenario: You have made your castle, its 10 acres big, now you want an entire new alternative design. How do you disgard your old base and build a new one, from scratch? Start the base next to old one, move your terrotory device over, then break down and rebuild, move over type thing?

Just on Digby boy, he mines things that are not in your base area. I'm not sure what its based on yet, but my Digby's in the starter area are mining Iron and Silver, and i havent even seen iron nodes myself yet.
