Burnout: Protecting the Supervisor & the Supervisee

Webinar organized by Emirates College for Advanced Education in collaboration with ABA-UAE and presented live on June 6, 2023 by Ms. Aline Atallah, BCBA (Health and Wellness Specialist, Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Special Education operated by the New England Center for Children).
As burnout becomes more prevalent in the workplace, learning to recognize and address it becomes essential for supervisors to do in order to protect all individuals involved in the process of service provision – from providers to clients. This presentation will explore the definition, the costs, and the root causes of burnout. We will also discuss some practical, preventative strategies that supervisors in the behavior analytic field can use to protect both themselves and their supervisees from burnout.
