My dad does galactic weekly mileage and was after a different car a few years ago, we opted for a nice spec Superb. 350, 000 miles later its only fault was has been an AC compressor. Such an impressive cae

Had a 67 plate 190 diesel dsg version and i loved it. I had prev a BMW 320d and i can say the Skoda was miles ahead with almost every aspect. The beemur was really set for left hand drive and the conversion to our side left the peddles at a strange angle and the seating position was weird. Also the seats were thin and worst of all the rear seats did not fold down, WTF. The Superb solved all my probs and was a great car. Soo much so i now have the new Octavia 2021 VRS due to the brands reliability and my local dealer being really helpful. No brainer, stylish, great mpg and the best load lugger in the category

I had one of these for a week when we went to Sicily in 2019. It was an absolutely brilliant car. Had a fridge in the centre console, radar cruise control, bags of room in the back for the kids and all the crap you have to carry round for them. This is a better car than the c class or 3 series estate in my opinion.

I remember getting in a Skoda in the Kiev (Ukraine) in the 90s, absolutely stunk of petrol and there was no option to wind down the back windows. They certainly have come along way in 25 years! Great car.

I drive a Skoda Superb 2019 model TDi for about 6 months now. It is a beautiful car for my liking. I chose it over Passat any day. It is the underdog of the VW group.

That’s a nice looking car. I like the classy anonymity of it.

I feel like Skoda's still easily one of the most underrated car brands, with the Superb arguably branching over into the premium segment. It's an imposing, elegant looking vehicle, with lots, and LOTS of space and a quality-made and looking/feeling interior. While it's not quite as playful interior-wise as its competition (namely MB and BMW), the exterior (imo) sticks out more than the comparable Audi A6, and definitely the A4 and 5 5-door version.

The only thing holding the brand back, is the stigma it retained from its earlier days. But Skoda's making big strides into the right direction, and I've had people literally drop their jaws when they got into my 2016 Superb (or popped the trunk, and mind you, I have the sedan, not the estate!).

I like your style of reviewing cars, you give some useful information, and at the same time you give some subtle jokes. Basically, you stand out a little more from other bland car reviewers (there are loads of them on the internet and TV...)

I had one of these with the same engine. Superb in every way! Fabulous space in the boot/back, great to drive and cheap to run. Best car I ever owned.

I’m in Australia & bought the 2017 Superb 206 KW/ 276HP, 4WD Sportline! I’ve had BMW, Merc GLC & this is by far the best car I’ve ever owned & driven. I did test drive it against the Passat at the time & the Skoda was way better value overall in most aspects!👍🏼🇦🇺😎

I remember seeing one parked up and it had a 3.6 6cyl engine. You couldn't really tell, the only giveaway was the 4 exhaust outlets. These fly under the radar and I love it.

I’ve just bought the 2016 hatch diesel 2L in L&K trim. Lovely car to drive, I’m 77 and my wife has ms so I keep it in comfort mode . I had an A6 Avant until last year, but thought I should come down in size and Got merc. estate, I hated the controls, and that it always seemed to think about accelerating from standstill. Or the internal space. I went back to Audi but the A4 , once again I felt cramped inside. After some research and reading owner’s reviews I decided on the superb hatchback (I fancied the estate but was doubtful about 4wheel drive) I love the Superb, it’s such a pleasure to drive and support everything I reviewers have said about them !

We have the big TSI with 4x4 and 280hp, so quick and lovely to drive!

Been in a few of these as Taxi’s in Europe- the rear seat space is massive and they are very comfortable- exactly what you need.
Good motors.

This is all the car you'll ever need. Great looking variant aswell, very understated and classy. Estate, avant, touring models are just so practical having owned a few. One of those cars you try and find faults with and can't. Great vid Matt.
