Found your video while doing research; my wifes 2015 Nissan Altima SL was hit by a commercial water straight box truck like a pitman move and spun 180° and went off the road in a ditch hitting small trees and went through a barbed wire that dragged across the bottom of the car; the car is worth on or about $8k, and they low balled the repair estimate to $7k and didn't total it out; and didn't include the broken windshield; The two dents around the moon roof and several other items.

I believe they kept shaving the estimate down because she owes $16k on it; but she has Gap insurance also; it should have been totaled out since it is over 80% of the value from what I understand.

The front and rear bumpers are 90% off the car; the passenger rear quarter panel is crushed beyond life and the roof is dented on the driver side top right and bottom left of the moon roof which indicates structural damage.

My father owned a junk yard and my older brother owned a body shop; and there is no way she can be made whole for $7k.

I just do not see it; any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
