What do you do if you cant find the exact vehicle? Like for example in my case the vehicle forsale have different motors or trans and in my case this is a complication.

Well presented. I'm about to submit my comps and now wondering if these companies expect you to buy from Al's Best Autos on Earth or a higher quality, higher-priced dealer like CarMax or Carvana? Big difference.

I keep hearing it’s a process but my insurance company has absolutely no desire to even look at any of the information I provide and not willing to negotiate or discuss the payout. It’s basically my way or the highway attitude. I’ve been very polite and respectful while they ghost me, ignore my questions and dismiss my concerns. Despite rejecting the payout offered, she went ahead and closed the claim anyway. I asked to have the claim escalated to a supervisor and once again, I’m ignored.

Is this normal???

This kinda bums me out for what I'm about to deal with for my car theft claim! When I bought my car I actually got a really good deal on it because of the fact that the car needed a bit of work but I offered to take the car as is in exchange for a better price and do the work myself. About 2 weeks ago I had the car stolen and now looking at comps and the cars are literally going for double what I paid...I'm in for a fight on this one! 😩

What happened if the body shop n the adjuster did the evaluation without me being present write the vehicle off as total however I believe the damage does not match the evaluation… what shud I do

A blackout driver hit my grill and it is only crushed the grill and the car is fine mechanically, but they want to total the car instead of paying 9K for the repairs - I cannot be whole unless they repair the car.

What is even the reason for insurance offer you anything more than their inital offer. You have solid proof, so what? They have no leverage againt them, but just not wanting to go to trail lol

Currently I'm trying negotiate and rejected the first offer. The problem is that they (Allstate) have a number of comparables but then they apply an "adjusted comparable value" where they subtract value from each one of $1, 500-2, 000. Any ideas on that? Things like for make/model/trim, options, mileage, condition.They came back and said that's the best we can do after expanding our radius of comparables.
