Miss Becky, I just want you to know that I appreciate your Testimony and cooking skills. I lost my wife of 55 years this past September and your videos have make a great replacement for her instruction from her sickbed. I've never been able to make meringue! But after watching you I know what I did wrong! I put the sugar in at first instead of beating them first! Thank you for sharing this simple but tricky recipe!

Thank you! I notice how carefully you moved that pie to the other counter. Once I pulled out the best merengue I had ever made, and it slid right off my pot holder face down on the floor! This was Thanksgiving day! I admit, my kids were on that pie so fast! I told them just try not to eat the parts that are touching the floor. I just couldn't let ALL of it go to waste! Haha I was glad the merengue cushioned my glass pie dish so it didn't break! Thank you for great videos! :)

Was happy to find this video. I just tried my first lemon bar with meringue topping. I failed and I was looking for why or for a better way to try next time and here I am. I liked your explanation of what to do and what to be cautious of and I just LOVED your video opening around the dinner table and the baby and all. I imagine she's quite the lady at this time. NOTE: if you don't have a nice expensive mixer like hers, you can use a blender. Set it on LOW and just let it run for about 15 minutes. Run the blender too high and you will prevent it from thickening. You can check on it, but it's not ready until it looks exactly like it does here. THEN add the sugar and let it run for another 10 minutes and you got it. High altitude folks might even be a little longer running time. A handheld blender works too, but again that can be tiring. To do it totally by hand, I've never seen.

Helpful tip. I agree the intro is a bit lengthy but other then that great video! Very informative in a way that everyone can understand. Most cooking or recipe vids are not helpful. The chefs in them forget that the viewer watching isn't a pro and needs things broken down simply. This was the ONLY vid on meringue that showed me how much sugar to use!! One other said 2 to 1 ratio but I'm not that professional that I am going to buy digital scales like they said in their vid. Lol. Keep making cooking simple and I think you may have a great go to channel for the future!!
