As a child whenever we had earaches my mom would take a small piece of garlic and wrap in a thin piece of gauze and would place it in our outer ear canal and place a small piece of surgical tape over it... we’d go to bed and in the morning the earache was gone... I still do it as an adult... works everytime!!

I bought a recipe book that was Chinese badly translated into English. A "clove of garlic" was translated as a "denticle of garlic". I quite like that. Denticle. I suppose it's from "dent" meaning "tooth", and garlic does look a bit like a fang.

I once had really runny nose and kept making little paper towel balls and sticking them up there to soak up the snot. I thought I removed all of them but 4 days later I got another one out of my nose. And A WHOLE WEEK LATER I finally got the last paper towel ball out of my nose. Didnt even realize they were up there until they came out.

The snot that come out is the bodys response to the garlic. That stuff wasnt there until she irritated her mucous membranes and her sinus.
