Peter lost his mother, and couldn’t do anything about it, Peter loses his version of Gamora, and wasn’t there to stop it, he also lost Yondu, his father figure and felt helpless to save him, there was no way Peter was going to lose Rocket, love that he wasn’t going to give up on him ❤🙌🏻

I LOVE how groot wrapped himself around Peter and not only is it a family hug, but the safest hug they can get. (After the 1st movie where groot protects everyone)

I honestly liked how they ended Quill and Gamora in this, quite in a mature and bittersweet way. Peter grows to understand that he can never replace the Gamora he has lost while Gamora understands how her other version fell for him. But at least on that note, they separate with a deep mutual respect for one another. In order for Peter to truly heal from the loss of his Gamora, he needs to let go and move on.

I cried so hard here. Rocket suffered such a tragedy and loss and held it with him for so long. All but giving up on life, and for good reason, only to be encouraged to go back by the people who he lost and still care about him even beyond. And when he returns he finds that there is worth living past the suffering endured/remembered, and people who value him as much as he valued his lost friends.
TLTR: Life can be so hard to go on, and others (myself included) often ask “why go on” or “what’s the point, ” and this scene here showed that there is worth still around, and those who would suffer the same as us if we left. 🥺🥺🥺😢🤧🤧
