Mohammed Siraj, playing his 2nd Test match for India, became the talk of the day even before play started in Sydney on Thursday. With 5/77 on his debut, Siraj got a promising start to his dream Test career in Melbourne. Amid all the celebrations, Siraj is bearing huge personal grief and he couldn’t help but exhibit a burst of emotions during the national anthem on Day 1 of the Sydney Test.

Siraj, who later bagged the wicket of David Warner granting India an early breakthrough, was seen in tears during the national anthem and the pacer has now revealed the reason why he was crying. The 26-year-old remembered his late father and burst into tears during an emotional moment.
