My sister did this too, she was around 11 years old and put in a fiver, which was her allowance, and tried to make change for herself. Oh the shock on my parents faces! My Mother, rest her soul. Would talk about it sometimes much later in life and just burst into laughter.

Years ago my 1 1/2 year old put both hands in the plate and had two fists full of cash. I was so embarrassed trying to get the money out of her hands she would not let go. The whole church was laughing i was mortified
