Big thank you to Fing for sponsoring this video.

You can easily find devices on your home network (WiFi and Wired) using Fing and then you can scan for open ports on those devices. You can also block them using the Fing desktop app.

What do you think about the Fing app?

Fing is nice for simple WiFi troubleshooting and "asset registry", but many router interfaces have the same functionality

My ISP customer service app shows connected devices as well. But probably not as robust as this.

You can get open source alternatives. I understand fing is a popular one, but I prefer something open. I don't even mind paywalled features, so long as the base product is useable and again, open. Personal preference there though.

Damn. You'd made a video on the Fing app a bit ago and I'd forgotten about it. Great little piece of kit.

Some routers can see all devices on the network. It's almost the same functionality.

after your video I subscribed for Fing premium
Fing found 1 out of 4 IP cameras
Fing could not block iPhones and iPads due to private network features

With home class routers you can't do much. The most painful thing is that you can't manage VLANs.
