So it’s a ton of money to rent anything, already have to wet wipe the remotes, door knobs and light switches, and check for bed bugs, now also cameras. It’s EXHAUSTING to travel, not to mention potential death by Boeing or another passenger. Good grief.

Airbnb says these instances are rare. Yea, they are rarely reported. I am sure this happens alot and people never know.

Airbnb rentals would be more of a concern than hotels honestly.

I've worked in the hotel business for a number of years and if anything I'd say be more concerned about how "clean" your room actually is. There's no guarantee the pillows you sleep on, or the blankets tucked onto your beds aren't washed after each checkout, and with plenty of hotels likely understaffed they're more than certainly cleaning (and inspecting) rooms quick rather than thoroughly in order to keep up with demand.
