Imagine if the government went after actual criminals with this tenacity.

Update. They ruled in the landowner’s favor. TWRA now needs a warrant to place cameras on private property.

"unannounced checks and patrols" on private property sounds an awful lot like illegal search and seizure.

You can't steal something that's on your property. It was placed there without a warrant.

Surveillance of private property without a valid warrant stating probable cause is illegal in every state.

That is insane the court just originally threw out his case. They literally put a camera on private property with no warrant. Violation of rights 101. Sad state that the courts are in within the US.

Guy should park his car on the police station lawn and then sue them for stealing his car.

This is outrageous. The government can't sneak onto your property and put cameras there without a warrant. Full stop.

No lady, this story IS one sided. The government has no right to place cameras or other surveillance equipment on PRIVATE PROPERTY without a valid court order.

Government equipment on private property means that the government agency not only forfeited the item(s) but is acting criminally and needs to be held accountable

This needs to become a federal case. They are violating personal property rights.

Our entire government needs a major overhaul, from top to bottom!

Trespassing and surveillance without a court need to be sued into non-existence.

If you find a camera on your property smash the camera. Leave it in a pile at the base of the tree. Maybe approach from behind the camera. LOL

A federal agency illegally posts a camera on private property and then charges the owner of the property for removing it. You state that is "complex". 6ABC is a HUGE part of the problem.

How can you steal something on your own property. Seems to me like they gave it to him.

The only thing that makes this issue become complex is the attempt to not acknowledge that this man's rights are being stepped on, and law enforcement is being allowed to WAY overstep their boundaries.
Things only become "complex" when you try to bullshit us.

How can they put a camera on your property illegally, arrest you for taking it, suspend your license, and make you pay court costs? I hope he sues and gets back his money 1000 fold.
