Nissan Electronic Throttle Body Re-Learn Procedure \ Idle Air Volume Learning \ Fix Surging RPM

You guys may have experienced that after replacing the throttle body or even sometimes after removing the throttle body connector on Nissan vehicles, engine RPM would not be stable anymore and it will fluctuates up and down continuously, so you must perform the "Idle Air Volume Learning" in this case. I have seen some guys published some contents on this, but none of them provided the details so when you start doing the job, you see that it won't work. Oh my god, I had this fault a couple of weeks ago and I used 3 different scan tools and none of them could finish the re-learning procedure, so I had to ask another guy to come to the workshop and get the job done, he didn't also tell me what was the correct procedure. Now I see what I did wrong, I did the re-learning when AT was at Park, it took more than 10 min, then error. Thanks for this tip, next time I try this method that I'm sure will work. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you very much for sharing this video. I had an RPM surging problem with my car (Nissan Note e11 2006) after replacing Ignition coils and plugs, I cleaned the throttle body. I disconnected the cable and completely removed it to clean inside. After mounting it back, then the engine had a surging RPM .. I performed the 3 learning procedures, 1. Accelerator Pedal Release Position, 2. Throttle Valve Closed Position and 3. Idle Air Volume Learning. It states in the service manual that in Idle Air Volume Learning transmission or gear should be Parked or Neutral position, however, it didn't work. I took it to the dealership, they couldn't fix it and I was being told the that either the throttle body or the ECM is faulty and needs replacement. I took the car home because if I let the dealership replace the ECM or the Throttle Body, it will cost me a lot of money. I drove the car home and decided to buy a throttle body and ScanTool. I could finally fix it with the ScanTool and ONLY when the Transmision was in Gear that it worked. Thank you very much once again.

My Mini Cooper a r56 does this on cold starts for about 2 mins then idles perfect could this be the same problem do you think ? As it never used to do it until I had some work done and the throttle body had to come of I’ve had it checked by multiple mechanics and theve all said there’s no air leaks anywhere so could this be causing it do you think ?

My car when I accelerate then rpm increasing normal but then decreasing slowly due to this when I changing gear 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 then press clutch rpm high for 1 or 2 sec, it irritating
