Nissan P0507 Idle Control System - Idle Relearn Procedure

Показать описание
This Nissan Murano had a code P0507 after performing other repairs and cleaning out the throttle body. This particular code basically means that the RPM are higher then expected probably from an intake/vacuum leak or something like that. But in this case I was almost sure that it was caused because we cleaned the throttle body. so this is how you do the relearn of the idle control system.

**RE-LEARN PROCEDURE STEPS**

Idle Air, Volume Learn.
1. Make sure the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition ON, do not start engine, then wait 3 seconds turn the ignition back off and wait 10 sec.. redo this procedure 3 times
3. Next, Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal 5x within 5 seconds
4. Wait 5 seconds, then fully depress and hold accelerator pedal. After Approximately 10 seconds, the Malfunction indicator light will switch from steady to blinking. Approximately 9 seconds later, the light changes from blinking to steady once again.
5. Fully release accelerator pedal and start the car within 3 seconds.
6. Allow to idle. Wait 20 seconds.

You guys save people money that don't have it. Taking a car to the dealer is very expensive. They charge 100 dollars just to put it on a scanner. Thanks a lot for helping people .

If this isn't working for you and you still have a high idle and check engine light, do all 3 procedures with the engine fully cold! It worked on my 06 Nissan Pathfinder. I cleaned my TB and my truck started idling around 1K and check engine light. Tried this procedure about 20 times with engine and transmission fully warm and it did not work. Next day, I thought I would try it with engine fully cold with nothing to lose and BAM, 625 RPM after a few minutes of warming up. Good luck!

I tried this method on an 07 Altima several times, did not work. I finally hooked up my ThinkDiag in hopes that it would have the ability to do the relearn, and it did. Fixed it perfectly. We appreciate videos like this, thank you.

This is great
It’s the Hitachi relearn procedure
Apparently hitachi makes this component for Nissan I think.

Worked great on my Nissan350Z! Thanks a lot bro! Worked on the first try too! After I had my CamSensor Bank replaced, my car was idling around 1500 rpm! Now I’m down to a solid 500rpm!

I have 2006 Nissan Altima and just bought it used (it is July 2018). I bought it off my nephew's used car lot - they just got it as a trade in. My symptoms are: I usually get steady idle at 1000 rpms in Park or Neutral. Occasionally, I get steady idle at 1500rpms. But abt every 8th engine startup it'll immediately dip once to abt 600rpm and steadily climbs to 2000rpms where it will start a cycle of dropping & surging between 1000 and 2000rpms. It stops the surging & high idle as soon as i put it into gear (drive or reverse). It will not do it on next few cranks. It'll take about 6 or 8 cranks to hit it again.
My MIL is P0507.

The dealership changed an engine mount the day before it started happening. At first my nephew thought the mechanic might've left something unhooked or knocked something loose pulling off the cover to get to the engine.

Is this a potential? What all should i check? Do you have a video that covers every point of failure in this system? Thanks

This one worked for me, 04 altima, after trying multiple versions found on YouTube and the forums, including those claiming to be "from the factory". This one was found by my beautiful, voluptuous, curvy, sexy wife, so credit goes to her for finding this video.
