The difference is the way the screen is illuminated.
LCD and prior tech has separae light sources behind the screen, OLED emits light from the screen itself, the backing lighting on LCD washes out darker colors, particularly black while OLED can produce nearly perfect black.
The downside is that, because the OLED screen itself is lighting up, it can be pron to burning in if used for extended periods of time and in general will last much less than LCD.

Viewers dont worry bcz you all aren't able to diffrentiate between LCD nd OLD untill you are watching on oled screen
Main thing about oled is black color whereever if there is black color on screen then in oled panel all leds turn off and looks dark and in LCD panel dark color is created throuh led in display

Led bases have darkest dark and highest contrast. But LCD last longest and give long viewing hours . They dont hammer the eyes due to excessive contrast

I the era of people buying OLED/amoled I was desperately looking for an LCD one and bought one,
Reason: LCD endure more stress and reliable and they don't get damaged due to pocket pressure and bend

On the otherside, the downside of OLED/amoled is very sensitive to pocket pressure and may get ink spread issue even without dropping the phone, the cost of replacement of the display is 60% of the actual phone cost, people end up dumping PCBs... And manufactures hike the spare cost knowing this..

OLED are not best if you've mobile is not sturdy or prone to pressure
