In this video, I’m going to give you some tips to prevent unwanted weight loss on a ketogenic diet. People often start keto for the weight loss benefits but want to continue for the health benefits, even after they’ve lost weight.

If you find that you’re getting too skinny on keto, avoid unwanted weight loss with these 7 tips:
1. Try weight training to build muscle
2. Add more fat to your diet
3. Add MCT oil or butter to your coffee or teeccino(Bulletproof coffee)
4. Try keto bombs!
5. Add nuts and nut butters to your diet
6. Increase carbs, but not above 50 grams per day
7. Increase vegetable intake

You should only consume a moderate amount of protein, around 8 ounces per meal is sufficient. Two meals a day is ideal to prevent extra weight loss on keto.

Dr. Can you make a video on starting keto for already slim people! That would be awesome. Cause as a slim guy my goal is not losing weight it's gaining healthy wieght. Build muscle, strength, and health. Just an idea

I am doing keto for my anxiety. I do not want to lose any weight but have already lost some unfortunately. Will be following this advice and hoping I don't lose more. Don't want to quit as it has helped my anxiety so much!

I know that most of you are doing Keto to loose weight and feel better, but some of us can get too thin. I have. So the comments about how you wish you had that problem aren’t really appreciated. I can’t seem to stop loosing weight and it’s starting to scare me. I appreciate Dr. B’s advice and will start to implement it. I’d just think that most people who follow Dr. Berg would be a little more sensitive to any weight issue.

I started keto to quit my sugar addiction. Needed to lose about 20 lbs, all belly fat.. I'm active, a gardener, and I lost 25lbs-- AND the sugar addiction! This is the first time I have ever been successful quitting sugar. (including all those carb foods you list so fast I cant keep up but I loved all of them!!!! lol) I need to regain that 5 lbs, but I want it healthy... this video is great! I am adding squash and carrots and sweet potatos in small amounts... and as I have raspberries and blackberries ripening sooon I will have those! thanks Dr B! I still have more research to do in your videos...

This is the problem i am having right now... i have lost so much weight i dont want to loose anymore but too afraid to stop and gain back.. keto is the easiest way i found to drop weight and has my hypoglycimia under control🙌🏾🙌🏾

Thank you Dr. Berg! I have been asking this question for the past 6 months! I've been doing Keto for 2 years and got way too skinny, although I felt great! I got all the way down to 141 lbs. I was at around 186 lbs. I'm a 65 yr. Old male 5ft-11". I still have no appetite in the morning and can go all day without being hungry. I've been doing OMAD but needed to put on some weight so I started to add an extra meal. I had finally stabilized at 141 lbs. And slowly Put on some weight. I'm now fluctuating between 150-156 lbs. But I did lose all the Fat and was really surprised to find all the muscles that were beneath it, the only downside was my stomach, it was the prominent area where most of my fat was stored and had a lot of loose skin after the weight loss. I've bumped up the protein a bit to address the loose skin, which seems to be working.
I will never ever go back to eating Sugars, breads, pastas and bad Carbs, especially not to gain weight back.

I started keto and fasting a month ago, I do 22 hour fast ..one meal a day I'm already slim I don't need to loose any weight .. I find fasting really easy I started on 18 hour fast per day no sugar what's so ever and very little carbs high fat , salad, nuts, fish,
eat very little, as stomach shrunk, haven't lost any weight which is good .. walk 10 miles across country every day .. push ups and yoga .. my brain fog has gone .. I can remember again, I can organise , concentration and focus much better .
Stopped drink alcohol every day
I'm so much more healthy thanks Eric u inspired me .

TQ Dr. Berg. You are godsend as every single queries I have on doing this keto lifestyle correctly has been guided by u. I did loose a lot of the fat under my skin very fast although it was just 8 kilograms in 4 months. Have been getting comments that I look too skinny, old etc after loosing weight but I will correct those criticisms with an answer that it’s not the look I am after, it’s the healthy lifestyle I am going for n the clarity of mind that I am experiencing. My stamina is now over the roof n all my knee aches are gone! Keto is here to stay for me

People are saying I'm getting too skinny and just concerned if I get sick but the truth is I have more energy, and seems that years for me went back. Regained youth once more thanks to you Dr. Berg. And then you're absolutely right the disadvantage was that I have to buy new set of clothes which was a bit costly as suddenly when I woke up trousers and belts are too loose to wear. Now I can do longs walks, climb stairs without breathlessness even do jogging. I'm also following the video on firming muscles.

If you're the type that needs to lose weight than don't watch this video. Enough with the lame comments about, "wishing you had this problem" or " I doubt this is actually a problem". Self- esteem issues go both ways. The irony of people overweight and dealing with self-esteem issues always giving people who are underweight and dealing with self- esteem issues is old and annoying.
