What's your go to question at the end of an interview?

Pro tip: Always talk to the interviewer like you have already accepted the job and are going to start working there within the next two weeks.

Literally just listen. It's a conversation. Forget the fact that it's an interview.

Edit: This is the next day! I got the job and I'll be filling out the forms and working soon!

Because I didn't want to scare my interviewers, I ended up rephrasing the "hesitancy" question to "based on what we've discussed I would like some feedback, is there any area that you would like me to elaborate more on, perhaps give an example of a skillset we havent discussed?" Because I understand the purpose of my question is to literally have feedback, as well as fight for the job incase they have an area they are hesitant about. At both first and second interview the interviewers were eager to tell me I've answered all questions perfectly, and I got the job offer the next morning. :)

I asked the tough question at my interview for a job that’s out of my league. I knew I wouldn’t get the job when applying but thought I won’t lose anything by applying if anything I will gain experience. I made it to the second round interview with the director of the department, at the end of the interview I asked the tough question, and she said that she was glad that I asked, and was very honest with me about how she thinks I don’t have enough experience for the position. She was very informative in what I should be doing to gain experience and which direction I should look into for a job that fits me better now. And she was encouraging, told me even though I wouldn’t be selected for the role I applied, she’d keep me in mind when something matches me pops up, she gave me her contact info and even offered to mentor me. I am beyond grateful for this experience. Although it sucks to not get the job, I gained something very valuable. And I really appreciate your advice, this question is excellent and I will definitely be using it at my next interview. Thank you!

I had an interview today and I asked the “hesitancy for hiring me” question. He started giggling. Not sure why, but I think it was cause the interview went really well 😂 He laughed and said “No, if anything you got the job.” He giggled some more and said “I’m gonna use that in my next interview.” I was confused as to what was so funny because he didn’t stop giggling 😂 I got the job though!

I asked the hard question and I got an offer within the hour! I now have a full time salary job during a pandemic and it’s something that I want to do long term. Thank you so much for this informative video! When I asked the question the manager said she has never gotten that question and was extremely impressed.

Love the boldness of "is there any hesitancy..." question - Yes! Great video, Cass!

After 3 failed interviews i finally gathered the balls to ask the "hesitancy for hiring me" question on an interview for my dream job at a university.

When i asked it he was starstruck, he couldn't believe that i asked the reasons why he wouldn't hire me instead of why he would hire me. He said that he liked direct communication and that that question couldn't be more direct. It's now 6 days after my interview and i got the job!!

This immensely helped me!

I had an interview today and they asked if I had any questions. Had I not pre-written them down I would have tanked. My 4 questions led to a twenty-five minute discussion. The fourth being the challenging one you mentioned. I felt like such a boss. They appeared stunned when I asked them. But actually the main interviewer said at first he was nervous about my "young age" but he intrigued by my accomplishments and feels like they can help me grow. And another interviewer said that despite me not knowing the specific software they use she was confident I'd pick it up. She told me her story of how she got hired after being a stay at home mom and that it was challenging but possible to learn. One hour after my interview I got hired and will have to move in a few weeks.❣️thank you

I asked the hesitancy question in my dream job interview today and the two interviewers were in shock. They had never been asked that question and overall I feel everything went well!! They called me 4 hours later and told me the job was mine. I loved the company before I got the job and I’m so excited to start a new chapter. Thank you SO SO much!!!💛

"Based on what we've talked about today is there anything that is giving you hesitancy with hiring me...?" You are a genius! This question shows awareness, long-term vision, and a strong communicator.

Also gives the interviewee the opportunity to close the deal...on an INTERVIEW!

Asked my interviewer "what would you expect an employee in this position to accomplish in the first 90 days" she was so impressed, said that was the best question she had ever gotten. I also asked if she felt hesitant about hiring me and she said "no im actually hiring you right now!" Thank you so muvh for your advice! It saved me
