How to Install a CPU heatsink: Raijintek Themis EVO

Hey guys, in this video I show you how to install the Rainjintek Themis Evo. This will work with tons of cpu sockets, AMD as well as Intel.

Nice video, I’ve had this fan since last fall when I set up my pc and thought it was the wrong size. Being lazy I decided not to put it in but the other day I got a warning saying my cpu was overheating so today I started looking around and found out that I had this cooler and another exhaust fan. Have them both in now and they’re running great. Thanks again!

I only have 2 RAM sticks and that heatsink overlaps one of my RAM sticks is this bad?

hmmm, i bought a custom prebuilt pc with basically the same cooler. However, they mounted it with the fan at the bottom, sucking hot air away from my GPU. Which would be fine if the case had top air vents, but it doesn't, it only exausts out the rear.
as a result my solid top panel can get so hot that you really wouldn't want to touch it for long, & i am sure it is also bringing my CPU temps up.
by writing this out i think it is pretty clear that i should rotate the bugger, or ask the builders if there was a ram clearance issue or GPU overheating issue or something.

I just bought a Raijintek Themis Cooler (not EVO, the heatsink is a little thinner), but i use a AMD processor. For amd motherboards AM3+/AM3 do i have the liberty to position the cooler to the back of my case? Cuz i think the only way the cooler can be installed for AMD is blowing to the top of the case, which is not that bad, but i prefer blowing to the back of the case. Amazing video btw, im planning on installing mine this afternoon, following your video.

Hello, I recently intalled a cpu cooler and I'm worried that I tightened it on too tight and im worried about some pins bending. How tight is tight enough?

PHEEEW, So I was looking at my gaming machine my roommate sold me for a GREAT price. I noticed the fan was installed on the side of the heatsink rather than on top (blowing DOWN on the CPU). I thought " WTF, he installed this thing wrong!" THEN I see this video of the fan installed the same way mine is ( on the side of heatsink) so i think mine is OK and my CPU wont melt! ...hopefully!

i had the aidos and this is pain in the ass installation like the bearing is HARD AF TO PUT IN AND TO PUT OUT.... just buy bequiet! Pure Rock instead dude easy installation and overall cool performance never touched 70 Celcius degree
