How To Upgrade Your CPU Step By Step | AMD Ryzen CPU Installation 2022

Upgrading your old CPU can seem like a daunting task, but it is actually one of the easiest parts that you can upgrade on your pc. In this video, I show you how to upgrade your AMD Ryzen CPU step by step.

Upgrading your CPU will bring improved performance for video editing or gaming. I swapped out my old Ryzen 3900x for the Ryzen 5950x CPU. For my cooler, I am using the DeepCool AS500 Plus CPU cooler which does a wonderful job at keeping my CPU below 50C. In this video, I removed the Ram and GPU so that I can have room to get my camera inside the case to get close-up shots. You don't need to remove them. I reccomend using latex gloves because your skin oils left on any material / components will effect heat transfer as well as it may cause metals to corrode. Example - If you change your cars headlight bulbs and leave a fingerprint on the glass bulb, that glass will heat differently and this will actually cause the bulb to burn out much faster.

dont be like me and put the new CPU without updating the bios on your motherboard. Then i had to take the new CPU off, put the old one back, download the update for BIOS, update it and finally put the new CPU so it starts the pc.
Dont be lazy like me, update your shit first so u dont have to take it apart 5 times😂

Run your PC to get your CPU warm otherwise you run the risk of pulling the CPU out of the socket when you remove the cooler...Has happened to me before..The AM4 socket does a crap job of securing it down and can easily get yanked out.
