The Nintendo Switch is 6 years old in 2023 and is definitely feeling its age- but it's still the most current Nintendo console with a lot of fun to be had. Is the Switch worth buying in 2023, and beyond?

Correction: 0:20 - $200 for the Switch Lite, accidently said $250. oopsy lol
The Nintendo Switch in 2023 is still worth buying- just make sure to check the game you want performs well, and you're good to go.
So, what's the best game ever made for Switch in your opinion?

Nintendo needs to drop their old game prices.

Switch saved my life low key. Got sober in 2019 and hours of gameplay with my recently purchased switch helped in ways I can't describe. Still my favorite. I may have some cloud services that help my mobiles turn into pcs these days but my switch still goes everywhere with me. At work it still helps me at nights when the bar is slow and there's not much for me to do until the restaurant closes and I gotta count the money. Thank you nintendo!

It was found out a year ago what the problem with the Joy-Con Drift is, but strangely not many people seem to know about it yet.
A lot of people think you have to clean the sticks with disinfectant or alcohol or replace the whole sticks,
but you just have to unscrew the joy-con and put a piece of cardboard under the stick to put enough pressure on the membrane to close the gap
because there is a gap under the membrane of the stick where dust can get in.

The switch (and mainly Breath of the wild) was the reason I started gaming again. So while I appreciate everything I've played on it; it's time for me to move on. First time owners will find it insanely fun; but after having mines for about 3 years now and playing over 15 different games; I want to play bigger and more powerful games.

Not to mention all the third party games I've missed out on throughout the years. I love nintendo exclusives but miss COD and more action/mature oriented games. I've been spoiled by the switch's portability so I'm saving up for a Steam Deck. It feels like the most logical evolution to my gaming "career". Same way I started with the switch and Zelda, I'll go for the Steam Deck and Elden Ring!

They should do with the Switch what they did with the DS line. They should release a more powerful revision that can still play all of the games previously released. It may never be as powerful as a dedicated console but they can beef it up to let games perform better. Give the hypothetical Switch 2 an updated chip and a little more RAM and there you go. They can just use the OLED model tablet for it and give it some slightly better Joy-Cons in some cool new colors. A lot of the issues seem to be with optimization of various games though.

I just bought one 2 days ago. My first Nintendo console since I bought my first game boy colour in 1999. My fiancé and I are having a blast with it!

I definitely say that even though the switch is ancient, it's still worth it in 2023. Its quite impressive what devs could do on hardware that's almost 10 years old, and even get games running on battery for a good amount of time!

I just bought an OLED switch yesterday. I love the fact that you can play super Nintendo and regular Nintendo games on it. I still haven’t purchased the package with the N64 games. I am a little worried about new hardware coming out within the next two years. Looking at their last successful Consol. It ran for nine years before they created new hardware.

I bought the switch last year and don't regret it in the slightest. It has a large game library and the switches price is pretty good. I play games docked most on the time. Its no ps5 or Xbox series x and that's fine. Gaming being offered at all different price ranges. Is it perfect lol God no, but it does what it does well enough.

I’ve had mine since 2018 and I’ve recently got back into using it and it’s truly such a good console

Back in 2019 I bought V1 of The Nintendo Switch and it’s absolutely still works great and I am glad I can still play any games on the Switch and I never get sick and tired of it. I totally remember it when it was released back in 2017 it was my next console to get and buy it and I’m glad I still have it.

great console, great library. I think its getting a little scary to buy at this point because you never know when nintendo will say f the consumer and just release new hardware but even then you can still get crazy good use out of it

Just got mine and I’m very happy with it. One of the Best purchases I’ve made in years.

I still think the V1 is one of the best deals out there if you can find a used one in good condition, emulation is good on Retroarch and even better on Android standalone apps, not to mention having the choice to use whatever 3rd party controller you want to use (DS4/Xbox) but the form factor is undoubtedly the best selling point of any Switch

The success of the Switch makes the failure of the Vita an even more embarrassing part of Sony's history.

Until the Switch 2 is released, I will always say the Switch is worth the buy. Might wanna buy a pro controller or 3rd party joycons, the drift is REAL.

Absolutely! The Nintendo Switch is a must own console because it has a great library of games. I always say you have too own two out of the three leading consoles together. A switch with a PS or a Switch with an Xbox. I love my Switch

My brother got an oled switch this Christmas and my family has been enjoying it. I do feel like the Switch needs a hardware update soon though.
