I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 7 years old. They loaded me up on drugs and I hated how I felt so much that I just stopped taking them. At age 15 I became raw vegan and my ADD pretty much disappeared. That was two years ago. I was making C's in school, but once I started eating raw and made some life style changed I can think more clearly and I have had straight A's ever since.

I have ADD, and yes it is real and it can be debilitating. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 22. Ritalin has helped, but so has eating a healthy diet and exercising. The modern day school system sucks, and I was glad my parents pulled me out before I hit highschool. I tried going back to school at the age of 17, but because I was unable to concentrate, I became very depressed. Now at 23 I'm finally able to study again and I'm passing my grades. And I'm happy again.

I've never been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD but I do have anxiety and I notice that when I go fully raw, my anxiety goes way down and I can concentrate much better. My depression also gets way better and I just feel alive and for once, happy. I know if I have kids, I'll be raising them raw/high carb and I definitely want to make their health number 1 priority

My 24 year old has ADD (non hyper). It is real and not a learning style. She gets frustrated because she will want to go see a movie but loses track and can't even follow a movie she's enjoying. She has to study three times longer then a normal student and needs a quiet study environment for test taking. She gets frustrated at having to reread the same sentences over and over again. She is a high raw vegan and has been vegan since age 4. When he diet is completely clean it improves her concentration she says but its a daily struggle and never completely goes away no matter how perfect she gets her diet. This woman obviously is not understanding the difference between behavior issues in schools and real attention issues.

Great insight! I wish there were more public resources to support intuitive parenting.

Thanks for uploading. I've never been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD as I have little respect for psychiatry but have a diminished attention span from when I was younger. Will definitely try these tips.

One of the amazing things i learned about ADD is that a glass or two of water in the morning helps kids being more active at school :)

Excellent video. Excellent excellent excellent. I wonder if she has reviewed the use of MMS in autism and substances like iodine. It would be good to review her book. Thanks John

As a whole foods vegan adult who has struggled with Attention Deficit Disorder and Executive Function Disorder my entire life, I strongly disagree with this video and Karin's point of view. Some of what she is talking about is very dated information. I would be more than happy to share my experience privately as a female child and adult with ADD, the devastating effects on my life before medication, and the other tools i use to handle my ADD/EFD.

for scientists to find out Ritalin had a specific effect on children; how many experiments must they have gone through to find that formula? And who did they test these drugs on? How many children went through drug tests? can a parent approve such a test to help 'progress science' : /

yeah when I eat these toxic stuff feel my body is highly alarmed and wants to get rid of it so I do sports for example. I'm much more calmer on 80/10/10 without chemicals, toxins and drugs :) but not calm enough yet :D Also I think ADD symptoms can be lowered so that it's not a disorder anylonger but the main brain structure (too many dopamine transporters for example) stays.
When I learn I want to learn overarching and to fathom things down to the bottom in all their consequence. So often I hate o learn things just from an analytic and superficial perspective even in psychology studies.. Also everytime new things are poppping up and feel very important which I write down. But these thngs aren't things for the exam so I waste like thrice as much time as needed for exame oh man. such things..
I'm strongly physical and mental *aswell* Both things are important.

yeah I was very bored n school and kindergarten aswell. In things like einsteins theory of relativity or some sociological theories I was very interested in an every time I was really interested in things I had perfect grades. So maybe it's just intelligence.. But also I do extremly much sports because it helps me extremly n my personal developement and spiritual developement. I hat to sit around and do "nothing". Sports help me to be more high-performance in mental things aswell. That's why I have hyperkinesia because  have so many thoughts and to process it u need dopamine. Activity generates dopamine in a natural way. and has so many other benefits. :)
