The Top 10 Challenges:
1) FEAR. The greatest thing you have to face is fear itself. Worry, insecurity, new living, money, detox, criticism, etc. You may worry about nutrients/getting to much sugar. -After that, everything else becomes easy. KNOW that you are not alone. If fear is your greatest enemy, it's within your power to create a healthier happier you. When you overcome this fear, the rest is easy!

2) HUNGER. Learn your true signs of hunger, and make sure that you ALWAYS have food with you to eat so that you are not left with cravings or reaching for something else.

3) DETOX. Everyone has some type of detox. It passes! Stick with it, be sure to eat enough, and be strong. Once your body begins to cleanse, it gets easier and you feel much better!

4) FEELING OF ALONE/ SOCIAL ASPECT of going raw. Please reach out into your community or online forums. Invite people to participate with you on this journey!

5) Run out of food OR left with UNRIPE FOOD. Always make sure u have plentiful amounts of food with you. When you're hungry, anything will look like food, so bring REAL food like fruit with you!

7) TIME.
-Plan your days
-Plan your meals
-PREP TIME
-Bowl of fruit / smoothie
- Compare time spent cooking and cleaning to time eating raw. MUCH EASIER to eat raw

9) VARIETY. People fear getting tired of the same variety all of the time. Truth is, there is more variety eating a FullyRaw diet than any other lifestyle! There are more than 200 different varieities of fruits and veggies to eat year round! The average family eats the same thing 7x a week.

10) BAD DIGESTION & GAS. Please stay tuned for a food combining video coming soon!

Despite all these fears, they are just that: FEARS. You will FEEL BETTER, you will see RESULTS by increasing the amount of fruits and veggies that you eat! Please keep your hope and know that you are not alone! We are all here together! Rest, heal, and cleanse your body. You WILL become the BEST YOU possible!

My biggest challenge for going fully raw is the costs. But I feel like it will definitely be worth it in the long run! Thank you for all of your inspirational videos Kristina! They help a lot of people out!

Fear is definitely the biggest challenge for me. And the fact that everyone thinks that it's so crazy!

We are building communities here in the Toronto area of sustainable living. Lets help everyone grow their own food even in urban areas, and doing it by building communities. rent land, get together and buy land, grow food and eat with no GMO. food co-ops. Eat fresh eat local. Grow food not lawns. :)

The cost is definitely my biggest challenge. There aren't any wholesale produce places where I live so I buy a LOT of bananas! ha ha

Last night my son and I were faced with our biggest challenge so far.  My husband, who has been supportive, grilled a huge feast of different meats.  My son and I had to be there for each other to stay strong and not give in.  I was incredibly proud of him when he reached for a big healthy salad instead!

Not eating enough fruit, especially before a savoury dinner meal, was my greatest challenge. Not eating enough greens due to leaving them until the end of the day, was another. I eat 8 ounces during the day in green juices and green smoothies, and the remaining 8 ounces in my evening salad. Another is taking time to prepare enough food to take with me the next day. I'm never without my cooler bag. :-) If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Failure is not an option. My health depends on this lifestyle. Having beat SLE (Lupus), my health is my top priority. It's a pleasure to eat this way! :-) It's so worth it!

When I first began eating 80/10/10, I had the worst issues! The very worst migraine of my LIFE. Would've wept if I could've. My knee, where I had an old injury, hold badly enough that I went to the chiropractor, really worried. My teeth hurt and bizarrely, felt loose (I later learned it was about minerals, magnesium, greens, etc.) I had plenty of digestive (ahem!)...disturbance. Days of this...disturbance. But somehow, I could tell, despite all this, that my body really WANTED to do this thing! I refused even headache medicine, because I just wanted to see it through. And it all went away, for good and ever. I'm so glad I stuck with it! Best best decision!!

Thanks for sharing the challenges. I appreciate your love and dedication to this lifestyle. My fear is feeling alone/social pressure from family who does not understand the benefits of this lifestyle. Its hard when family expects you to eat what they cook when you visit them. My solution: I take salads and fruit platters to every family gathering I go to. I also eat before I leave the house.

As far as challenges, it's having to eat a bit more than I usually do to keep the energy requirements fulfilled. So far I've had more energy than before! Keep at it everyone!

I have been wanting to eat more healthy for over a year. My bf keeps on complaining till he saw Food Matters and he decided to become raw organic. So researching about it is how I found you. So excited.

My family and friends thought this was so weird that I was eating like this but I just told them that it takes away all the stomach issues I've had most of my life, plus so many other benefits like energy and feeling truly satisfied when eating

My mom and I have faced most is not all of the things on your list. The good news is that it does get easier once your body adjusts to the change. I found that one of the biggest adjustments is learning to live without that familiar STUFFED feeling that results from eating bread and mashed potatoes etc. Thanks for this handy list of stratagies.
