Film description: It has been three years since the Clone Wars began. What I love most about this scene...is that anakin has started down this path on the PROMISE of the ability to save padme. And now that he cannot turn back...sideous reveals, the power to cheat death has only been mastered by one, and anakin is not ready yet. And even better. He must kill ALL THE JEDI to become strong enough to learn the ways of padme's survival.

Anakin killing Windu and joining the Dark Side is the equivalent of someone making a decision using emotion instead of logic. A problem that is far too prevalent today.

The problem here is that he is already commited having helped kill Windu.

He feels the power to save Padme's life is his gamble, the only upside to the things he has done. If he turns back at any point he has still betrayed the Jedi order and has gained nothing for it.

One thing I didnt appreciate about Hayden's performance is that he shows that Anakin didnt "fall" into the DS, he fully stepped into it. He chose it, and he knew exactly what he was doing. He even hides his face and weeps (assumingly) in shame when he pledges himself to Sidious. Amazing performance. I'm glad he's getting his flowers now.

The thing about this is, in the end he didn’t need sidious help to save padme, she died by his hand, and he lives with the consequences of his actions

The fact that Hayden got a Razzie nomination for his performance in Episode 3 is crazy! Sure, perhaps it’s not Oscar-worthy, but it fits the character and his transformation so well!

The way Disney butchered this storyline was just tragic. Episode 6 was such a perfect ending. It's a shame because they have actually done a good job with their series, and Rouge One is a great Star Wars film, too.

If Anakin died during the war then I’ll bet palpatine would either kill padmes children or kidnap them and train them into becoming sith instead.
