In this animated feature, a deadly diphtheria epidemic strikes the remote town of Nome, Alaska. With the life-saving medicine located hundreds of miles away, the residents decide to send out a sled-dog team. Balto (Kevin Bacon) -- a half-wolf dog ignored by all except a goose, Boris (Bob Hoskins), two polar bears -- and beautiful husky Jenna (Bridget Fonda) is chosen to run but is disqualified by lead dog Steele (Jim Cummings). When the other dogs get lost in the snow, Balto risks his life to rescue them and deliver the medicine. #BALTO

I almost want to cry when everyone's petting and praising Balto and telling him he's a good boy. He's not used to people doing that. :(

Can't help but smile when Balto howls and Boris says "Balto's back!!"

I can’t believe no one was shocked when the polar bears came in town

I love that his wolf howl was for once a welcoming thing to hear for the town folk. They finally accepted him ❤

People hated Balto for simply being half wolf. He’s never been violent or aggressive towards anyone. He’s never given them a reason to worry- but because of his genetic makeup (which he can’t control or change), they fear him. But when 2 polar bears stroll into town, they’re completely fine with it 😵‍💫🤨

2:05 I'm not gonna lie, Dixie's voice actress did a perfect job on that line!

I love it when everyone starts petting and praising Balto after he brings the medicine to Nome after treating him like an outcast for so long.

If you ask me Steel deserved so much worse then what he got after everything he did

Balto is more worthy than what Steele will ever be.

I love it when Balto sees the Northern Lights Jenna put up for him. When he says "Jenna" then howls just makes me feel good. Also the look Jenna gives him is perfect for the ending. I mean you know they had to make a sequel with puppies because of this ending. It only made sense too. Still for this to be a 1995 movie it still holds lots of value to this day. That is why I'm building 2 vehicles called Balto and Jenna. Also had plans to run the 2025 Iditarod Dog Sled Race to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the serum run. But that plan is on hold. I'm still going to see the start and finish of the 2025 race no matter what I'm going. I've based and lived my live like Balto. Now I just need the happy ending.

There's something about the cold that beckons me...I feel like all of humanity feels it.

Dixie was right about Steele. He is positively disposable.

2:24 Steele has completely lost his reputation PERMANENTLY.

Balto finally being accepted and praised as a hero, the look of joy mixed with relief on the doctor's face knowing he will now be able to save the children's lives and of course the wonderful caring nurses administering the anti-toxin to combat this dreadful disease once and for all, the three most emotionally moving aspects of this scene for me. :')

I just love it when animals have a heart to help their human(s).

Balto, Norman, William and the other sleddogs return with the medicines and the humans and the dogs are impressed by Balto and Norman's kindness and heroics.

I grew up with this as a kid in a the 90s. Watched it constantly. I used to have a dream of this film that was so vivid but don't know if anyone is interested in hearing it.

Man, seeing all the dogs just instantly abandon and disown Steele after finding out he lied to them was so satisfying; I only wish his comeuppance would have been more severe
