Pixel 8 Pro Long-Term Review: Buy It Now!

The Pixel 8 Pro is now available renewed on Amazon for the lowest price I've seen it at yet. It's a bit over $600 for a phone that launched at a grand. Considering this was my favorite phone I've ever used, I say it's time to buy it if you were initially put off by the price.

Returned it, it was overheating just by using Instagram, with Snapchat you can zoom in or out, and sometimes it reboot from apps for no reason. I still feel iPhone is pretty solid

Dumb question but...does the aluminum in the bay model have a bluish tint or just silver? 🤔

Had mine for a little under 2 weeks had to return it for overheating.
Battery life wasn't good on standby it lost around 23% just laying idle on my dresser overnight.
I could manage 5Hrs. SOT on this phone for some reason, so yeah I returned it.

In India, this phone simply doesn't make sense cuz it starts from $1010 for the specs it offers. Plus the tensor G3 chip overheats a lot especially in tropical weather which drains battery very quick. Pixels are also infamous for their horrible network quality and other network issues here. So its a big No. One would be better off buying an S24 or an iphone 15 for similar or much cheaper price

I’ve ordered a few renewed Amazon phones before. I had a Pixel 6 that was excellent but didn’t work well with Verizon. I had a Samsung S21 FE before that and everything worked well on it except to the ear phone calls. You literally could not hear the other person using the phone to the ear and it was just ok on speakerphone. Idk if Samsung phones don’t get good reception to the ear with volume brand new too or if it was something in the refurbished process that damaged the earpiece. But I generally don’t recommend anyone to buy a refurbished or renewed phone, if possible try to buy brand new. You’ll probably have way fewer problems than getting any product refurbished.

Can wait around Christmas time to get pixel 8 pro for $400 once the Pixel 9 series got released in October.

I think if the pixel 6 pro can run a game like alien isolation in high settings, final fantasy x in 720 30fps, okami on ps2 in 720, up to pokemon omega ruby. Like even lets you a huge game like xenoblade on the wii. The pixel 8 pro should have enough power to do absolutely everything.

Google pixel 8 Pro is pretty good phone forthe price but only if it is supported by your country carrier, otherwise i bought this phone in Balkans and the 5G was not working pretty bad because the phone was not supported and i had call drops network problems. That’s pretty dealbreaker for me and I traded my phone with iPhone 14 Pro

It was even less with a trade in a few weeks ago at google.

I'm not a fan of those phones. In my experience, the OnePlus 7 Pro and 8 Pro were average at best and left me with a lackluster experience. I've decided to switch to the Xiaomi 14 and see how it performs. The biggest drawbacks for me with those phones are the battery life and the quality of post-production in photos.

I have have the P8P .The still pics are good and that's about the only good thing about this aggravating phone not ready for prime time.Video zoom totally unacceptable.Text window glitchy, raise to wake slow or not at all, text mike stays on after sending a message filling up with thousands of words if radio or tv is on, and often after connecting to a call and I need to press a number the screen starts flashing on and off.Iv'e spent hours online and phone with support .Huge waste of time
