Pixel 8 Pro 6 Months Later - Long-Term Review

The Pixel 8 Pro is now available renewed on Amazon for the lowest price I've seen it at yet. It's a bit over $600 for a phone that launched at a grand. Considering this was my favorite phone I've ever used, I say it's time to buy it if you were initially put off by the price.

Never getting a refurb... police get your phone and find all sorts in the "wiped' memory from the previous user.

I have have the P8P .The still pics are good and that's about the only good thing about this aggravating phone not ready for prime time.Video zoom totally unacceptable.Text window glitchy, raise to wake slow or not at all, text mike stays on after sending a message filling up with thousands of words if radio or tv is on, and often after connecting to a call and I need to press a number the screen starts flashing on and off.Iv'e spent hours online and phone with support .My Iphone 6s works better in most uses.Huge waste of time

You know your phone is extremely bad when 99% of google employees in QC use apple's for their private phone and the only reason they use pixel is cuz its given to them and a company / work phone.
With such battery and such mediocre chip they didnt have the right to price it around 1k... it belong to 700 dollar segment from the get go no mattery how good pics it can take.
I wonder why a company even richer than Apple cant create a phone with good battery ( its their own software and they have it worse than even samsung skin ), with good slim equal bezels like everyone in 2023/24, better top of the line chip, better fingerprint reader and then price it for 1k. Battery life for a 5050k battery is absolutely horrible compared to samsung or apple, insanely inferior at that. Modem is bad and struggles a lot, microphones are also not really good compared to phones around 1k market price... They cut like 300 corners and the only TOP NOTCH is pictures and not even videos, just the pictures. So basically they sell super mediocre phone with good pictures for 1k where every other manufacturer gives u better for the same money and then ppl say Apple are greedy.. well at least they give u ALL OUT for your 1k..
Truth is they only priced it like its top dog 999 but this phone is a true 700-750 im sorry.
