Did you know that most Ginger Ales don't actually get made using Real Ginger... well at least ginger is not on their ingredients list. They all have Ginger Extract!!! We are going to make a simple ginger ale using real ginger and its going to be GOOD!

The goal of SauceStache is to continue trying something new, something new to me and something different.
I find inspirations from you the SauceSquad and my constant hunt of social media to see what food is being made around the globe and how can I try to make it. Lets try to make some food and have fun!!

Here is a tip. you don't have to take the skin off, just clean them with a brush. Cut the ginger up throw into a blender or food processor and throw into pot with lime. Then with a chese cloth pour steeped contents into cloth and ring out. TA DA and you probably got a way more concentrated ginger too.

I just finished making this recipe and it came out awesome. I didn't have lime zest so I used lemon zest. Also, after slicing the ginger I put it in a blender with some water to really extract the flavor. This one is a keeper.

Canada Dry used to have ginger until someone in Canada sold the company to Cadbury then to Keurig Dr. Pepper

I make this all the time, but I add vinegar and mint to it. It is called sekanjabin. It is an Iranian drink meant to cool you off. You can also use honey instead of sugar. It is fantastic. I mostly don’t add soda water just tap water works fine. Sometimes I’ll mix diet ginger ale into it!

After I made a home made ginger ale I decided to look it up on you tube. I did not scale the ginger first, and I added zero sugar. I did not boil it. I grated, cold steeped and poured it directly into a bottle of tonic water. It was perfect.

Nice video! If you want to get more flavor, skip the peeling, just cut it into thin coins and dehydrate it for a few days (or 1-3 hours in a 150° oven), then powder it in a spice grinder. The more surface area, the more flavor you get. Heating removes much of the spicy and makes it sweeter, because it converts the spicy gingerol to the adorably-named zingerone. There are a lot of ways to play around with it, but that’s the fun part!

I just made this! AMAZING!!! I 100% recommend it, I don’t love ginger ale but I love ginger beer so I used less sugar and put more syrup to fizzy water

Currently sick and drinking Canada Dry. I do have real ginger root in the house. All i'm missing is lime and club soda. Can't wait to try this.
