Homemade ginger ale is one of my all-time favorite drinks to make! 🍋🫚 It’s so simple, refreshing, and perfect for any season—spring, summer, fall, or winter. A timeless drink that everyone can enjoy, year-round!

Homemade Ginger Ale Ingredients:

2 cups fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups water

1 rosemary sprig (optional)

Club soda (amount depends on your preference and the size of your glass)

Ice cubes

Fresh lemon peels slices from 1 lemon

1 rosemary sprig (for garnish, optional)

1. Making the Syrup:
In a pot, combine sliced ginger, lemon, sugar, water, and a rosemary sprig.

Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then simmer on low for 30 minutes.

2. Cool and Strain:

Let the syrup cool, then strain out the ginger mixture into a safe container or large jar.

3. Mixing

Fill a glass with ice cubes.

Add about 1/4 cup (or your desired amount) of chilled ginger syrup into the glass.

Top with sparkling water or club soda, based on your preference.

Stir gently to combine.

Taste and adjust by adding more syrup for sweetness or more sparkling water to dilute the ginger flavor, as needed.

I’ve done this and added it to club soda. Delicious! This is what “soda” should be. No unnecessary garbage and you can go as light on the sugar as you want.

🎉😊 use the cooked ginger slices to make ginger chips by drying and sprinkled sugar.
Let dry and pop them in a jar. Eat it, or stir fry them for savory meats and veggies.

I like to add a cinnamon stick and star anise gives a nice winter/fall vibe. I also use brown sugar, cuz why not. Yum!

Don't throw the ginger here. Add sugar about a tbsp and let it sit. In covered bowl overnight. Add to a pan and stir, it cmshould look powdered when ready. Lay them on a rack to dehydrate. Place in a jar. It's a good snack or stomach upset 😌 quote me ok trinidad🇹🇹

Thank you Sir. My mom 82, had major stomach surgery. I use real ginger in our foods. Now, real ginger ale soda for our soda drinks instead of those can & bottle ginger ale. Much appreciated 👏🏽 💐. Stay blessed and safe.

If you want it really gingery, you could also blend the ginger in the water instead of just slicing it.
