Are education standards truly impacting students' education? Will Hoadley-Brill explains the benefits and drawbacks of the new Common Core standards and how we can use the Common Core system to support South Pasadena students.

Will Hoadley-Brill is a student at South Pasadena High School. He was the ASB president of the Class of 2018 during his Freshman year, and he's currently on a trip to Cambodia to serve impoverished families.

His older brother, Sam Hoadley-Brill, graduated from SPHS this year.

It’s great to hear this from someone who has a valid and important perspective. This was a great speech with a very real message for all of us. Common core is the future for a reason - it’s better for mental math! We don’t need to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly any more. Let’s get these kids excited about learning how to see the answer rather than scribble it out!!!
