Great vid! I grew up in San Francisco and rule #1 never take anything someone tries to hand you…ever.
#2 guys, leave the backpack in your hotel room and bring a smaller shoulder bag with a secure zipper for schwag purchases. Wear the strap over your opposite shoulder.
#3 for the love of God Americans, leave all your local sports team shirts, hoodies and hats at home back in the states. Nobody cares you’re a Utah Jazz fan and will just use that as an in to start talking to you and distract or start working you for money. Go Jazz!
#4 You don’t need to dress up, you’re on vacation. I see so many tourists dressed up like they are trying to impress people they don’t know for some reason. It just makes you a target. Blend in. Save the nice clothes for the evening when you go out to dinner or a show. 
#5 know where your going. I love google maps in Rome too, but just take a quick peek every so often to make sure you’re headed in the right direction and try not look like your lost.
#6 ATMS- find and actual bank to pull money. All the atms at change places will screw you so hard…so very hard.
#7 This might be the most important one. Don’t be afraid to be a dick. If the first “no” doesn’t work, try a forceful “f-off”. I know we want to be polite to people, but scammers really prey on the passive. Plus scammers don’t deserve any respect anyway. F them.
#8 have a blast because Italy is freaking awesome. Just be smart.

The rose sellers sell poor quality flowers and many times they will take them or steal them from cemeteries, and this alone is what disgusts me the most

1:20 Give the scammer (fake money) the scammer NEVER stated (Genuine issued currency v.s. Fake). This is what is called an (Implied event) as in a court of law allowing the (Tourist/visitor) Not liable for any wrong doing. And you get to have Fun with the scammer, A win, WIN! hahaha!

So a bracelet scam. One person will come up to you start talking and asking questions and give you a bracelet and say it’s for free. After a minute or two they will say they need money or an item for it. Just keep walking and say nothing to them or say I don’t have any money. Ignore them and don’t take them on. They will leave you alone.
