Scams & Bad Behaviour I Encountered in Europe! Beware!

Join me as I uncover the darker side of travelling in Europe, revealing the scams and bad behaviour I encountered along the way. From organised begging rings to the chaos of overtourism, this journey was filled with wild and unexpected moments.

Throughout the trip, I encountered shopping scams designed to deceive unsuspecting visitors, fake train ticket sellers targeting travellers, and expensive tourist restaurants. I also experienced poor hospitality in hotels, witnessed the results of violence on the streets, and encountered some truly bizarre behaviour.

This video's purpose is to keep you safe while travelling by sharing my experiences and highlighting the dangers to watch out for. So make sure you watch this video before travelling to Europe.

In this video, I cover all the tourist scams I found while travelling in Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic), Budapest (Hungary), and Munich (Germany).

The Honest Guide is the best YouTube channel for Prague travel and how to avoid scams. They are amazing.

Essentially, if anyone approaches you anywhere....be wary. In any country. Universal truth.

"The Honest Guide" is the one to watch before you go to Prague. False prices are one of the hardest to detect as you tend to trust shops more than people on the street, and you may not know what the local "native" price is. Even legit tour guides, especially on tour buses, sometimes get a kickback if they direct you to certain restaurants or cafes. One scam was done on the tour bus drivers themselves in Italy, pay the local criminals who run the parking lot or your tour bus gets parked in front of by many other buses.

Those candy shops are money laundering shops. Same as in London.

I think the old guy with the dust pan and brush cleaning up was just a nut case.😂

For me, what you describe here is not a European phenomenon, but probably exists everywhere: I never let sketchy people get too close to me, I don't stop when strangers approach me, I never go to restaurants where I am greeted with “hello, my friend” because I still choose my friends myself and I avoid places where there are too many tourists.

Aside from the tourist traps, we really enjoyed our Europe trip, especially the history and beautiful architecture.

If you're scared of swiping your card anywhere, swipe your phone.
Unlike your card, your phone's payment info can't be cloned. Every time it generates and emits an unique one-time token that can be used only that time and is useless afterwards.

Haven't been to this channel in a while. Enjoyed the change from the norm. Can't wait to see the rest of your videos from your European adventure!

Top tip. Restaurants on main tourist streets are always overpriced. Find the one in less touristic areas or streets.

Your wife is so chic; she looks great. Sorry I forgot her name. It's so great that everytime either of you say "no" to the people selling on the street, you do it with kindness and patience.

The lady in the tram screamed in Polish, I couldn't understand everything but one thing was "I will tell him that you drink and you will see what will happen!", so clearly the lady was not happy that her male friend was drunk... but anyway I hate such situations and I also would recommend such fights to have place outside from public
