Thank you so much. I had a Muslim student in class who wanted to point out a "contradiction" in the bible. It did make me pause. I am not doubting my faith or anything like that I just needed a go good refutation of his argument in a kind and helpful way. To help explain the incarnation. Thank you, my brother.

When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), he quoted Psalms 91:11-12:

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

That was the wrong thing to say. Jesus' vocation, when He was on earth, was to live within the limits of humanity, and that included relying on God, depending on God for everything. Jesus modeled that for us in every way.

I grew up in a Arminian-leaning church, and I always thought of Jesus as a small step down from God the Father. That May have been just me not understanding the Trinity at all, or it was taught from them. When I was about 35, God saved me and I devoured His Word and in doing so, I started to understand that Jesus is equal to the Father, He just temp. set aside His throne and crown to become like mankind. But the church cont. to teach what I felt like, was putting Him a step down. I believe that once Jesus ascended to Heaven, He is now in full knowledge of what is happening and knows when the Last Day is and He fully knows when He will return. They said " One day the Father is going to tell His son, ok son....time for you to go down and get your people" But reading through the whole Bible shows Jesus's Divinity and I just can't see Jesus as living in the exact same state of being He was in while among us. He is Holy Holy Holy!!! 😇

With regards to the claim that Jesus is God, there's one question I would like to ask. Did God die on the cross?

The spirit-being called God by Jesus in John 4:24 cannot die. Therefore, to say that there is a Jesus that is equally God as that spirit being, is to say that there is a Jesus that did not die on the cross. But this is Gnostic doctrine, is it not? It is, and even Trinitarians realized it.

That's why a council was set up in the 4th or 5th century to try and determine how human experiences such as death could happen to Jesus if He was God. The solution? That Jesus has two natures - a God nature (that cannot die), and a human nature (that did die).

But actually, this was not a solution, but the introduction of a new doctrine - a doctrine of two parallel coexisting Jesus Christs much like the science fiction doctrine of coexisting parallel universes, a universe that we know and fictional parallel universes born out of speculative theories and imaginations.

See, if there is a Jesus Christ that died on the cross (the man), and a Jesus Christ that did not die on the cross (the God), then there are two Jesus Christs. So what Trinitarians don't realize, is not only does their doctrine strongly suggest that there are three Gods (for three who are God = three Gods, just like three who are human = three humans), it also necessitates two Jesus Christs, for a man cannot exist as God, nor can God exist as a man.

And the biggest problem of all of this? Nothing in the bible necessitates any of those claims. In fact, the bible pretty much contradicts the doctrine of the Trinity at almost every turn if you read it sincerely in a straightforward manner, and not with the motive of conforming it to the doctrine of the Trinity, which was agreed upon and formalized in a council of men three centuries after Christ and the apostles preached the Gospel.

If Jesus is in the fullness, God, how can he cease to be fully God, and lay aside that divinity? Because God doesn't change, thats the nature of divinity, immutability. Please help me understand how God can lay aside his divinity and remain immutable?
