We went into Vietnam with the best intentions utilizing military advisors. Politicians ended up making the decisions and it all went sideways. The really sad thing is that, just when we finally won this war, the Tet Offensive, we gave up and started looking for a way out.

A good Vietnam doco is Unknown Images under Daily motion probably personally one of my favorites on Vietnam brutal but showed how it was not sugar coating it.
Thanks for this documentary very interesting, I have good friend still with us served with the 1/9 Cav, I purchased a helmet and got the serial number and met the actual friend online who were with the 1/9 be have been very good friends every since and hope to meet him one day.
There is a back story about the helmet.
