People have to remember the taliban are hardened fighters, many of whom have been fighting since they were young teenagers, yes they may not have the best organisational awareness western troops have but they certainly aren't a bunch of pushover either. They've seen battle and they are not afraid of it in the slightest, I'd say they'd even give the Russians a good run for their money on a Ukrainian battlefield at this point.
