Summer cold shower is good especially in the evening after a massive sweat and sticky humidity

Every time I take a hot shower my skin is so red and irritated I mean it’s the only thing motivating me to take colder to lukewarm showers in this colder weather

Thank you for saying this! I’ve thought the benefits of cold showers have been overblown and I needed a counterpoint to their claims. I HATE the cold and people insisting I take cold showers to heal everything is annoying.

I believe it! And in warm weather- I can do it! But here’s the thing- we really cannot afford to heat our house much, so that daily warm shower, that’s the only time I’m not freezing.

Thanks for convincing me that I can stick to my warm showers! Not that I need any convincing when it's 25 degrees outside! You're the best!

If I get really hot & sweaty I’ll take a tepid shower & then turn it to cooler water but never completely cold, hate ice cold water. I always thought it could maybe give you a heart attack! Thank you for a great video! ❤️

I swam in the SF Bay from Alcatraz on a regular basis and it significantly changed my body temp regulation. At first it seemed to help inflammation and then over time increased my inflammation. For what it’s worth.

I follow Doctor Andrea's advice of a 10 minute lukewarm bath and immediately a moisturizer after the bath 😊❤.

I don’t think I could do the cold shower. But I am trying to move away from warmer baths 🛁 to more lukewarm showers. So this is good motivation.

I don’t know if it’s good. But I take hot steamy showers from head to my toes. Then I turn my knob to cold 🥶 water rinse my whole body, It’s feels great! 😌 my skin is clear 😊

I always turn my warm shower to cold to finish, especially on hair wash days. Feels great on my dry itchy scalp.

Nope, sorry, not for me. The most I can bear is a lukewarm shower when its super hot and humid. During the cold months, a hot shower helps warm me up. I know its not the best for my skin but I slather on Vaseline after so there's that. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a relaxing evening. 💕

Reminded me of that saying, "Eat a live frog every morning, and nothing worse will happen for the rest of the day." Nope to the cold shower in the morning. 🥶

Raynaud's here, I still like a cool shower though, cold air triggers it more than water.

Hi Dr. Dray! Can you please do a video on the difference between Urea 10% and Lactic Acid 12%? I always see these exfoliating products compared to one another but never really understand the difference

After taking a shower with tepid water, I finish off with cold water. It’s one of the few things I do to relieve itchy, dry skin, due to lack of estrogen due to the meds for breast cancer. It works for me ❤😊 and yes, it actually feels good 🎉

I’ve been taking only cold showers since 2022 and it has a noticeable affect on the skin and the overall tone of the body. Plenty of other benefits as well including increased daily mood, hormonal balance, and mental clarity. It sounds almost too good to be true but the price is that you have to endure completely cold water for the entirety of your shower. Well worth it imo.
